Work with the Area Cost Engineer to identify, develop and define aggressive area cost reduction goals, metrics, and strategy
Monitor area spending trends, budgets, and progress to help identify Cost Reduction opportunities
Drive innovative, strategic solutions for cost reduction
Use available resources and systems (such as KT) in the decision making process
Manage and update site weekly reporting with respect to area progress, procedures, new developments, etc.
Communicate regularly with all goal stakeholders on the status of Cost Metrics and Goals
Ensure all CR projects are shared with other sites as well as keep track of new projects created at other sites that could be potential projects
Drive and motivate the entire site towards the goals and targets that are set in order to move the company towards best in class.
Ensure that regular updates on metrics and goals are presented, included includes best in class repot from Central Team
Provide each area with regular feedback on their spend successes and opportunities for improvement
Work with each area to budget and plan cost reduction to approach the BP request
Understand all area spend and use this information to help finance develop future budgets
Work with site Finance team to forecast future cost in budget cycle
Ensure projects are correctly prioritized, remain on time, and that areas are knowledgeable of their timelines
Ensure accuracy of projected savings
Facilitate cost meetings to identify active project progress and needs
Provide project resources and remove barriers
