JR53161 APTD Operations Project Manager

As an Operations Project Manager in Advanced Packaging Technology Development (APTD), you will be in support of CAPEX, OPEX and CL/MOR management. In this role, you will be partner with MFG operations, IE, and Finance to develop planning and scheduling modules to improve operation metrics. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Safety 

Finishes the required safety training and conducts all work in accordance with Micron and Technology Development (TD) safety policies 

Follows all safety and environmental procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws 

Reports all safety-related concerns or problems at once to the appropriate individual (Emergency Response Team, Supervision, etc.) 

Performs audits and submits good catches on safety issues 

Communication/Collaboration 

Partners closely with team members on a weekly basis (MFG Operations, Process Development, Program Integration, Finance and Procurement teams) 

Provides regular status updates to senior TD Leadership 

Project Management/Planning 

Designs and coordinates projects with several different departments 

Builds timelines with achievements for complex tasks and projects 

Minimizes duplication through effective planning 

Adjusts plans based on execution to achievements and factors in capabilities when setting plans 

Technical/Data Analysis 

Applies Project Manager concepts and statistical analysis 

Creates innovative data solutions using Project Manager knowledge to continually improve the strategic forecast 

Evaluates what-if scenarios representing changes to metrics and partners with engineering to understand the impact of the changes 

Uses experience and observations to design experiments to get to the root cause on issues 

Analyzes and interprets internal and external data sources to suggest planning changes 

Incorporates experience and observations to design experiments to determine necessary area changes 

Develops methods for testing and tracking and measuring data 

Drives action through effective data and clear communication 

Successful Candidates for this position will have:

  • Apply the job concepts to line management, capacity analysis, scheduling and production planning.
  • Intermediate to an advance understanding of Supply Chain Master Data Management principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of data structures of software system such as ERP systems and manufacturing planning and execution system like MES and MAM system.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and application including SharePoint, VBA, Java Script, HTML, SQL, Python, JMP, Machine/Statistical Learning, etc.
  • Excellent multi-tasking, time-management, organization, and prioritization skills
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective relationships 
  • Proven ability to communicate complex analysis in a succinct, clear, and actionable manner

  • Intermediate understanding of database management methods and techniques
  • Intermediate problem-solver: understanding of data, good data intuition and data visualization skills
  • Experience or knowledge of data collection, warehousing systems, and data cleansing

Qualification Requirements:

  • Minimum of BS in Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, Operations Research, Management Science, Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field of study. 
  • Five years of experience with strong knowledge and interest in planning and cost related fields.
  • English Skills needed
