Job Summary:

This role is a 6 months contract role (maternity cover) based in Singapore, under our Direct-to-Consumer Retail Finance team.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports finance manager in annual operating plan, forecasting process, closing process and month end reporting, cost management/ forecast (e.g. logistics/ marketing) including financial deliverables to regional and global Retail teams, to ensure Financial, Planning & Analysis (FP&A) key deadlines are met, the output is accurate and there is ongoing strong communication with key stakeholders
  • Support all aspects of a retail profit & loss (P&L), including revenues, COGS, OPEX and managed operating income as well as inventory management
  • Create detailed analysis for presentations and reporting packages to Business and Finance leaders
  • Collaborate with commercial and functional teams to understand costs/spends and manage YTG forecasts
  • Supports cross border vendor reconciliation on weekly and monthly basis, and participates in vendor meetings
  • Supports functional teams in PO preparation and GRIR process
  • Perform ad-hoc benchmark reporting2, financial modelling and deep dive analysis to support business growth strategies
  • Utilize multiple systems and tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, TM1, Cognos and SAP
  • Report directly to a Finance Manager and work closely with another FP&A Analyst

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
  • At least 3 years’ experience of an equivalent Finance role in Financial, Planning & Analysis work, supporting retail commercial teams, and of working within the eCommerce retail sector preferably for a multinational corporation
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills with attention to detail and deliverable timeline
  • Ability to produce clear and insightful analysis that delivers key messaging at the appropriate level of detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in MS applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint; prior experience with COGNOS and SAP preferred
  • Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and prioritize work with tight deadlines
  • Able to work autonomously, take directions and inputs from partners locally and remotely
  • Willingness to take on initiatives and learn new systems and applications
  • Be a team player and build strong relationships across Finance teams
