Branch Health Check Officer - (WD64074)
Job Purpose
- Undertake Inspections and Quality Reviews across the Branch network to minimise operations risk and ensure readiness for Audits and Risk Reviews.
Key Accountabilities
- To conduct onsite and offsite control testing of branch controls covering all branch activities,
- The role may involve travel to DBIL branches across country.
- To coordinate and review self-assessment by branches.
- Working with branch managers and regional/cluster operations head/cluster heads for remediation of issues found
Quality of inspection:
- Do sample checking as per the branch control test plan.
- Complete physical inspection of Branches within the allocated time
- Submission of good quality inspection report within stipulated time
Remediation:
- Spot rectification of Inspection observations & comments/violations; as well as liaising with branches subsequently for rectification
- Providing suggesting corrective measures as well as improvement in systems & procedures.
- Other key accountabilities include, MIS Preparation, Coordination for timely MSA submissions by Branches, Quarterly BHC Checklist Review and Coordination and Closure of Group Audit/Concurrent Audit comments.
- Participate in performance of Thematic reviews and when assigned.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform onsite/ Offsite Branch Audits.
- Doing Quality Checking of BHC Draft Result issued by Reviewer.
- Preparing of various MIS which includes, Internal MIS and preparation of data for various meetings.
- Liaising with Reviewer and Branch Team for Audit requirements.
Required Experience
- The job holder should have minimum 10 to 12 years of experience in the banking industry with good understanding of all consumer banking products. Must have exposure to Branch Banking / Operations / Central Processing Centers / Audit & Risk Teams.
Education / Preferred Qualifications
- The job holder needs to be at least a Graduate, preferably in the Commerce stream. CAIIB or equivalent qualifications will be beneficial/preferred. Knowledge and experience with MS Office and Core Banking Systems will be a basic requirement.

- The job holder needs to have thorough knowledge of banking day to day compliance & related guidelines. He/she should be well aquatinted with RBI guidelines and other regulation prescribed by various regulators from time to time.

- The job holder needs to be organised so to enable handling multiple tasks with different branches while delivering within timelines.
Proactive Behaviour:
- To understand the Product, Process and be able to identify and articulate risks and their controls/mitigation.
Communication Skills:
- The job holder needs confident effective verbal and written communication skills to discuss, convince and explain inspection findings.
Interpersonal Skills:
- The job holder works with diverse set of stakeholders across branches and requires adequate interpersonal/bonding skills.
Technical Competencies
- The job holder needs to have well developed knowledge and skills in working with MS Office and core banking systems.

To work with:
- Internal: Head BHC and BHC Team.
- External: Branch Teams, Zonal/Regional Teams, & other stakeholders.
