JOB DESCRIPTION:

Conduct internal investigations relating to alleged violations of the Abbott Code of Business Conduct (and other policies and procedures), summarize and document investigations appropriately, and report investigation outcomes to managers and/or relevant stakeholders as appropriate.

  • Assist in intake and analysis of new reports, including identifying potential legal and policy issues and recommending appropriate investigators.
  • Identify gaps in the company’s policies, procedures, and training that become apparent during investigations, and recommend appropriate corrective action.
  • Adopt and employ leading forensic and investigation practices, technology, and data analysis to reach appropriately-supported and well-reasoned conclusions on investigation matters.

Core Job Responsibilities

  • Works with employees at various levels of the organization to investigate alleged violations of the Abbott Code of Business Conduct (and other policies and procedures), reaches appropriately-supported and well-reasoned conclusions regarding those allegations, and recommends appropriate corrective actions.
  • Obtains relevant information regarding alleged violations of the Abbott Code of Business Conduct (and other policies and procedures), reviews and analyzes documents, interviews witnesses, drafts reports of investigative findings, and participates in discussions with relevant stakeholders regarding the outcome of internal investigations and appropriate corrective actions.
  • Assists in triaging complaints of alleged violations of the Abbott Code of Business Conduct (and other policies and procedures), including appropriate categorization and assignment of those complaints.
  • Assists Director, Internal Investigations with risk assessments, trend analysis, and compiling audit responses.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

  • No direct reports.

Position Accountability / Scope

  • Reports to Head of Investigations, Office of Ethics and Compliance, India.
  • Operates independently with well-defined expectations, checking in with supervisors.
  • Interacts with employees and managers at all levels of the organization.
  • Builds relationships with businesses leaders to understand potential areas of opportunity and address important matters for each business and the company as a whole.

Education

  • CA

Experience/Training Required/Desired

Total Experience : 7 to 10 years

  • 3+ years of investigation, legal, auditing, financial or compliance experience, including experience reviewing documents, conducting witness interviews, and drafting summaries.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device or health care industry.
  • High proficiency in English.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
