The Role:

The Regional Director CWE Region is accountable for setting commercial strategy and provide effective sales leadership to drive growth in sales and profitability within the region, while also maximising organisational design and effectiveness. You will lead, coordinate, and optimise all sales activities within the region, implementing our go-to-market sales strategy through Strategic Accounts, National Accounts and Channel Partners for both Product and Services. You will work with Sales Directors to define short- and long-term targets, securing Vertiv as the Account’s preferred partner for the entire Product and Service portfolio, focusing on serving and growing our customers and market share while continuously working on evolving our organisation. 

Reporting to the Vice President Sales, and partnering closely with matrix functional leaders, you will be responsible to drive management standards, and to lead and develop sales leaders and engagement in the region, inspiring a diverse sales community across multiple specialisations and geographies. You will enable talent development processes while acting as a Wellbeing Ambassador and Diversity and Inclusion Ally.

As an individual you have strong industry experience in both direct and indirect routes to market within the region coupled with a well-established network. You demonstrate exceptional sales management skills, a strategic mindset and commercial acumen, and the capability to build networks internally within the Vertiv community. Delivery of your targets will require strategic leadership and effective coordination between the different business segments to fulfil the requirements of your teams, so excellent communications skills are vital. Furthermore, you have the technical competence to understand the full breadth of the Vertiv offering and our capabilities. Your targets will be set to align with the growth expectations of the market and our strategic position with the regional accounts.

Southern Region is an extremely important revenue stream for Vertiv and a large part of our sales community, and consequently we are looking for a highly competent, energetic, and ambitious individual to take on this role within the organization.

This role will also maintain the legal and statutory responsibilities for Germany.

As a Sales Leader, You Shall:

  • Grow and develop sales leaders, leading a diverse regional sales team, across multiple specialisations and geographies.
  • Drive and continue to develop our customer centric culture. You inspire the Sales community to represent Vertiv in front of the Strategic Accounts, National Accounts and Channel Partners in the region.
  • Develop Vertiv Sales Strategy and Organisation and secure alignment to our corporate strategy. You constantly adapt our Sales Strategy as needed and gain ongoing input and buy-in from key customers, partners, and internal stakeholders. You also align organisation design to maximize opportunities and continuously increase efficiency.
  • Drive growth in sales and profitability within the region and across Strategic Accounts, National Accounts and Channel Partners, for both Products and Services towards defined short- and long-term targets, securing Vertiv as the Account’s preferred partner for the entire Product and Service portfolio of Vertiv. 
  • Drive management standards, ensuring business review cycles are embedded, coordinate the activity of the team and collaborating across teams. Your objectives and key results are clearly aligned with the OKRs of your managers, your salesforce, line of businesses, marketing, operations, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Be an advocate of OneCode to continue to drive value selling across the team, therefore adding value to customer engagements and opportunity development whilst ensuring effective use of the tools and methodology to grow accounts and individual / team success.
  • Lead the teams to anticipate market trends, and share knowledge to design and deliver innovative solutions, challenging sales leaders to rethinking current standards and routines to achieve competitive advantages in the market. Successfully direct and sustain the necessary changes, providing direction internal stakeholders and securing support.
  • Act as a role model. You are a go-to person for your peers and managers in strategic sales leadership matters.
  • Drive engagement, ensure coaching and learning opportunities, sharing feedback and offering career support, while acting as a Wellbeing Ambassador and Diversity and Inclusion Ally for your sales team.
  • Offer Though Leadership, communicating with impact externally and internally, both up, down, and across with peers in the organization. 
  • Ensure that any activity, task, and responsibility required is managed and performed in full compliance with the Company Code of Conduct and Trade Compliance.

You Have:

  • Excellent sales leadership and commercial experience in both direct and indirect routes to market, to understand Vertiv’s business environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of the industry in Southern Region.
  • Minimum of 8 years of proven records in Account and Sales Teams Management, leading a diverse team across the countries and regions
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.
  • Experience in business negotiation. Experience in relationship building activities with customers. 
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Industry expertise or degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • You are fluent in English.
