Description

  • Oversees the industrialization of the new Greenfield Plant, Gigafactory .
  • Completes the industrialization of the new Tier 1 Cell Greenfield Plant within the Americas Region.
  • Coordinates all relevant activities related to the Industrialization of the Greenfield Plant.
  • Determines autonomously on actions needed to secure the timeline and the on-time completion of the Greenfield plant.
  • Implements the BMW Group Quality Standards within the supplier network E-Mobility Americas.
  • Enforces the adherence of the M guidelines and M processes / standards and the local legal guidelines.
  • Manages escalations and timely communications for the respective suppliers regarding the industrialization of the new Gigafactory to the Senior Management team.
  • Enables and establishes early-stage supplier build-up which includes robust delivery of services, product, quantity, and quality.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management. 
  • Understands and models VPS (Value Added Production System) Principles and concepts of Standard Work and Problem Solving.
  • Adheres to 5S and Safety Standards and Principles.

  • BS Degree in Engineering or related field OR 4 years professional experience with automotive components/ manufacturing. 
  • 15+ years professional experience with automotive components/manufacturing.
  • 10+ years professional experience in advanced industrialization of a Greenfield Plant. 
  • 5+ years of experience on international assignment within Asia and strong intercultural capabilities.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in Process Layout and VSM Activities.
  • As applicable, per BMW Training Guidelines. 
  • 5+ years of knowledge of production systems and business processes at suppliers to include a highly technical understanding of the supplier s production processes. 
  • 5+ years of knowledge demonstrating negotiation and communication skills.
  • 3+ years of knowledge demonstrating strong analytic thinking/problem solving skills.
  • 3+ years of knowledge of and network in the BMW Group supplier network. 
  • 5+ years of knowledge using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project as proven through business application.
  • German language skills (preferred).
