The Position

The opportunity:

Roche has established Global Analytics and Technology Center of Excellence (GATE) to drive analytics & technology driven solutions by partnering with Roche affiliates across the globe. This position is to support GATE projects in the Enterprise Data Operations space and is based out of San Jose, Costa Rica.

As a Business Analyst, you will collaborate with US business partners from the Enterprise Data Office (EDO) group, focusing on managing data contracts, third-party agreements, and related processes. Your responsibilities will include documenting workflows, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, optimizing contract processes, and supporting budget/finance management within the Pharma/Biotech domain.

As a Business Analyst you will:

  • Manage and process Data Contracts and Third-Party Agreements by coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Document processes and workflows related to contract management, budget/finance management, and support EDO functions
  • Work closely with vendors and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and compliance with contract terms
  • Support contract process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Track and manage budgetary aspects related to contracts and projects, utilizing tools like gSheets for financial reporting
  • Multitask and manage operations for various data vendors (25+) to meet enterprise space deliverables and stakeholder requirements
  • Handle incoming data inquiries efficiently, sourcing and implementing solutions as needed.
  • Conduct data assessments, gap analyses, and ad hoc data analyses for insights and decision-making
  • Run queries using tools such as Excel and AWS to extract and analyze data for reporting and decision support.

Who you are:

  • Candidate must have 4-6 years of relevant experience in the Pharma/Biotech industry, particularly in contracts management, data operations, or related functions
  • Experience managing and processing Data Contracts and Third-Party Agreements, with a strong process-oriented approach
  • Proficiency in writing Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Use Cases, Functional Specifications, Use Case Diagrams, User stories, and Process flow charts
  • Skilled in Databases and SQL query language for data retrieval and analysis
  • Experience with data analysis, visualization, data collection, extraction, cleansing, aggregation, mining, verification, reporting, and data warehousing
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting with senior leadership and stakeholders effectively
  • Proven ability to work independently, make decisions with minimal supervision, and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of data modeling and data warehousing concepts, including ETL processes are added advantage
  • Understanding of the Pharma industry and various data assets like claims, sales, market landscape, payer, clinical trial, and competitive intelligence data are added advantage

Education:

  • Bachelors / Master’s degree in Technology or a relevant discipline, with a preference for Computer Science, Software, Statistics, Data Engineering and related fields
  • Any certifications on analytics or data management would be an added advantage
