Controllers System & Data Operations (CSDO) function within Finance - Controllers is responsible for partnering with the Global Process Owners in Finance to transform the end-to-end Global Operating Model for all Financial Books and Records processes, platforms and results. The is a role in CSDO-Change Management team based out of Mumbai location. Overall object of this function is Requirement gathering, User acceptance testing, ensure all change management processes are followed and support production go-live.

The Fin Solutions Intmd. Analyst is a developing professional role. Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. Good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the subfunction/ job family. Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information. Typically deals with variable issues with potentially broader business impact. Quality and timeliness of service provided will affect the effectiveness of own team and other closely related teams.

Responsibilities:

  • The position requires an Individual Contributor who will bring in best practices to User Acceptance testing, manage stakeholder expectation and ensure Requirement Management principles are applied.
  • Understand FRD/BRDs and perform necessary setups and configurations and other change management responsibilities.
  • Perform user acceptance testing in production control and user acceptance environment for supported application and lead the delivery as an integrated core set of functionality, processes and develop standard procedures to meet the program goals.
  • Build module plans and ensure deadlines are met. Establish partnership with Finance Product Data Owners and stakeholder; and support creation of Business Requirements Document (BRD) on key Change Requests (CR). 
  • Drive organizational change taking full account of obstacles, opposition, and differing stakeholder priorities.
  • Acts as a champion for business process changes; act behind the scenes to craft solutions for business problems related or tangential to the project.
  • Partner with Technology and Architecture on core platform delivery functions for requirements, specifications, and operational considerations. Provide training to regional teams.
  • Provide test strategy, plan and scripts for core functionality. Execute/review test scripts for core functionality Provide support to regional teams for country UAT testing and defect resolution.
  • Lead and ensure appropriate handoff process for FRD creation to GFTS team; and review and sign off on FRD for correctness and completeness.
  • Coordinate pre-approval of CRs that are product related or raised by Finance Product Data Owners.
  • Work closely with Technology in the release schedule assignment/prioritization to ensure that work is prioritized accordingly with end-to-end consideration.
  • Act as SME with strong understanding of functionalities to support the overall program, and ensures that there’s no overlaps or conflicts within CRs.
  • Provide requestors with support and guidance on how to submit their requests ensuring alignment with strategic direction of the Program.
  • Work with Requirement Delivery and UAT team to ensure that fundamental test strategies/plan, design and scripts are documented, consistent with both BRD and FRD, and agreed with key stakeholders and consumers, if applicable. Prepare Test Plan/test cases on the basis of change.
  • Participate in actual User Acceptance Testing, if needed and provide necessary sign-off for production migration.
  • Facilitate, and execute post -production migration Validation in coordination with Production team and UAT support team.
  • Preparation of key operational Requirements Delivery related metrics reporting needs.
  • Manage required communications to key stakeholders, operations groups, and Consumers as part of Change Management process.
  • Provide and implement ideas for process re-engineering. Drive communication between the testing, development and product teams to ensure each requirement has adequate test coverage; manage and enforce Entry & Exit criteria
  • Help ensure coordination between partner systems; ensure all testing plans are shared and communicated so application testing between all is harmonious; manage project change with respect to testing, in accordance with the change management plan to control scope, quality, schedule, and cost; defect management and remediation facilitation.

  • Complete understanding of Financial Reporting Processes, Data and Platforms.
  • Able to work effectively and efficiently toward goals in a complex, diverse environment with multiple and changing demands.
  • Deep knowledge of principles, practices and theories of Financial Processes.
  • Outstanding record of project success, both in results achieved and in use of professional methodology and tools.
  • Pro-active in developing and implementing strategies that significantly mitigate risk.
  • Strong and current awareness of external trends and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of experience
  • Financial Services Industry and Project Management experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel
  • Working knowledge of related industry practices and standards
  • Ability to work with multiple functions
  • Proven problem-solving skills
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's Degree in Finance desired

Certifications:

  • ISTQB
  • PMP, Prince2 desired
