Your Role: As a Senior State Product Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team to deliver profitable growth across multiple states through mutually beneficial relationships with clubs (our primary distribution partners) and key internal partnerships. You will own the Personal Lines P&L for your region and engage stakeholders to accomplish strategic objectives including the successful roll out of new products, countrywide initiatives, and accurate pricing.

Your work:

  • Lead a team of analyst(s), Market Growth Consultant(s), and Product Specialist that is empowered and accountable
  • Drive strategy and advocate for state specific needs, partnering on rate and non-rate action to address indication, gain strategic alignment, and ensure compliance
  • Develop budget as well as build and implement strategy to achieve budget and serve the membership for all personal lines products (including new products)
  • Be the voice of the results both internally and externally
  • Own mutually beneficial, productive club relationships – including product feedback loop
  • Partner cross functionally to deliver competitive and profitable products, as well as launch new products
  • Proactively build relationships with DOIs and create productive lines of communication to ensure successful product filings that are in line with DOI requirements
  • Some travel required for high impact, relationship building opportunities with partners

Required Experience, Education and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in related area (Marketing, business, or a related field) or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 8+ years of increasingly responsible product management experience
  • 3 – 5 years Experience leading Product Management Teams-People leadership and actively shaping company culture
  • Ability to use data to encourage action
  • Product management for medium to large business accounts
  • Engage, influence, and leverage resources across the broader organization to drive desired vision and outcomes
  • Strong business acumen
  • Consultative and solution-oriented approach, creative problem solving
  • Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to create and deliver effective presentations to diverse audiences (including internal and external senior executives)
  • Excellent analytical skills, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail
  • Solid knowledge of P&C insurance products, pricing, marketplace and product management, with understanding of product P&L, drivers of growth and profitability
  • Ability to drive collaboration and teamwork with other functions and external partners at the executive and management levels
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence seasoned and senior-level internal and external parties
  • Advanced research, statistical, analytical, processing, and mathematical skills with ability to lead teams that structure and conduct analyses
  • Knowledge of and proficiency in change management concepts and practices

CSAA Insurance Group is an equal opportunity employer. 

The national average salary range for this position is $151,000-$168,000. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full salary range for this position across all the states we hire in is $136,000 - $201,000. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 20% of eligible pay.
