Provide technical leadership and design expertise for airborne, ground based, and shipboard radar and electronic warfare programs. Emphasis on next generation wideband subassemblies and systems used in these applications, including exciters, transmitters, antennas, receivers and signal and data processing equipment.
Development efforts will follow the product development process including requirements analysis and decomposition, hardware architecture definition , trade studies, critical technology, concept design, prototype fabrication, design verification, detailed design and production support. Also requires management of subcontracts and suppliers with regards to technical content. Support of all program milestones (i.e. PDR, CDR) by interfacing with the customer and presenting technical baselines. Work with the program cost account manager to identify and manage, risk, opportunities, schedule and cost planning. Provide team with clear technical leadership direction with focus on meeting milestones and producing deliverables.
Wideband Antenna Theory and Design, RF Circuit Design, Analog Circuit Design, RF Distribution. Experience in RF PWB Layout, RF Design using Mixers, RF Design using Amplifiers, RF Stripline Design, RF Filter Design, RF Path Analysis, Low noise design, Digital to Analog converters, Analog to Digital Converters and statistical analysis. Experience leading cross functional teams in complex product development. Ability to effectively communicate to both technical and to non-technical audiences is a must. Ability to present analysis, designs and data in a concise manner
Experience with complex RF measurement equipment (Power Meters, Network and Spectrum Analyzers, etc.), SPICE, LabVIEW, MatLab, and analysis tools (i.e. HFSS, Comsol, CST Microwave Studio) preferred. Experience with Transmit/Receive Module Design at UHF through Ku Band is a plus. System engineering experience with radar and EW and their associated subsystems is desired.
