The Position

As the Demand Planner, you will play a crucial role in optimizing Roche Vietnam's supply chain efficiency by accurately forecasting demand, ensuring inventory levels meet customer demands, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You must have a proven track record of successful demand planning, strong analytical skills, and ability to contribute to the development and implementation of demand planning strategies.

Your Opportunities

  • You will develop and maintain comprehensive demand forecasts through analysis of historical data, market trends, and inputs from Sales, Marketing, other relevant departments, distributors and customers as the need arises.
  • You will closely collaborate with sales and marketing teams to gather market intelligence, customer insights, promotional plans, product launches, new instrument installations, new and renewing tenders that impact demand. 
  • You will be responsible of forecast accuracy monitoring, figure out the root cause of low forecast accuracy and provide the solution and to optimize inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
  • You will work closely with Global Product Managers and other internal stakeholders (i.e. Import/Export function) to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products and with global product/ demand planners on stock allocations to ensure sufficient local supply and to identify potential bottlenecks to minimize the negative impact in the market
  • You will keep close communication with global and local cross-functional teams and be responsible for stock replenishment planning, setting of safety stocks to ensure the products availability at all the hubs to meet the customers demand and work closely with the local product managers for stock allocations for bottleneck management to ensure sufficient product availability for customers and for effective managing of near-expiry stocks to minimize write-offs
  • You will engage with sales, marketing, and other relevant departments to gather information and align on demand planning strategies and proactively address supply chain disruptions to minimize impact on product availability and also provide consulting for demand planning insights to the internal/ external stakeholders in accordance with business needs
  • You will collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to understand and incorporate distributor and customer forecasts, promotions, and market trends into demand plans. You will connect directly with distributors and with select customers as may be needed to validate input data.
  • You will Utilize advanced analytics and statistical models to analyze data, identify trends, and generate insights to improve demand planning accuracy and prepare and distribute regular reports on key performance indicators, demand forecasts, and inventory levels to management. You will assess and mitigate risks, identify opportunities for improvement to stakeholders.
  • You will drive enhancement of demand planning accuracy and efficiency to improve the relevant Inventory KPIs and OTIF and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement within the demand planning function.
  • You will connect proactively with other Roche affiliates, Regional and Global Supply Chain networks to identify best practices and drive its local implementation to enhance forecasting accuracy and overall supply chain efficiency.

Who You Are

  • You have a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field from a reputable University (local/overseas) 
  • You have proven minimum 5 years of experience in demand planning in MNCs preferably from the Healthcare industry
  • You have excellent customer service orientation, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • You are proficient or hands-on experience in demand planning software and SAP (MM and SD modules) and strong analytical skills with expertise in data analysis and statistical modeling.
  • You have fluent communication in English and Vietnamese
