Epiroc Australia, has a unique opportunity for a Geotechnical Product Manager to join their team in Australia. 

This role is to lead the identification of new customers/markets and new product opportunities and business development, whilst growing existing markets and contributing to ongoing product design, development and commercialisation projects to achieve our strategic objectives of (1) growing and defending our existing markets and (2) diversifying our business by product, region and mineral type.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Participate in business strategy development and review, and setting marketing and product development and implementation priorities with key customers
  • Leverage strategic mining industry relationships and associations
  • Integrate a customer’s technical (rock engineering), commercial, operational (production), procurement requirements into a comprehensive product / project brief and collaborate with R&D and Implementation Specialist
  • Input into product specifications 
  • Sales planning, management and customer retention
  • Personally, manage key customer relationships and support marketing initiatives
  • Participate in year-end audits and other related ISO audit processes

Requirements:

  • Geotechnical Engineering experience
  • Knowledge, understanding and experience of technical buying cycles and related procurement processes
  • International business development
  • Sales planning, management and customer retention
  • Financial modeling and analysis
  • ISO standards and QMS systems knowledge 
  • Computer literacy – MS Office applications
  • Qualification in rock engineering/geotechnical engineering preferred
