Your Role:

Sr, Spec is a critical position to provide management support to ITQC Team as well as Computer System Integrity expert on the Global Systems from both a business and technical perspective.

The Sr, Spec leads validation activities for all applications deployed at AWS or Azure covering key areas that impact the computer system integrity.

What You Will Be Doing:

Currently, this role is serves in the following capacities to ensure the security posture of Baxter:

IT Tools

  • Qualify SW at the global level
  • Qualify landing zones at AWS & Azure
  • Coordinate the validation activities between validation leads & cloud engineers

People Management

  • Management and tracking of the validation activities
  • Maintain strong relationship with the business (Apps owner)

What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer technology, engineering, mathematics, chemistry/biology, information management or related field required.
  • 3-5 years + experience in validation.
  • Data integrity-oriented assessment of Computerized Systems
  • Implementation & monitoring of remediation actions
  • Implementation of access security management, audit trail review
  • Writing and execution of all the CSV deliverables (VP, URS, RA, IQ/OQPQ, TMX, VR)
  • Execution of Periodic Review
  • Update and review of procedure related to CSV and Data Integrity
  • Change control Process
  • GMP, 21 CFR Part 11, Eudralex Annex 11, ISPE GAMP 5, Data integrity guidance (WHO, MHRA, FDA…), Prince 2 (Foundation Level)
  • Experience developing strong partnership and collaborating with IT peers, Quality & validation team.
  • Highly proficient, concise and articulate verbal and written communication skills to a wide range of audiences including business executive, end-users, and technical partners
  • Possess exceptional business and financial acumen coupled with analytical skills to assess relevant short and long term business requirements and ensure vendors are on board and capable
  • Superior assessment skills, with the unique ability to learn and internalize the business and organization quickly, and lead the entire governance function to be a value adding, results driving partner 
  • Interpersonal skills, including the ability to work in a team environment; motivate and work with others to accomplish tasks; and deal honestly and directly with others
  • Strong critical thinking, analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to provide effective independent technical leadership and counsel and effective communication of technology standards to management.
  • Ability to deliver innovative cybersecurity solutions for medical devices, enterprise IT, cloud, and device analytics.
  • Visionary thinker that can anticipate future computing capabilities while taking pragmatic approach of “Think Big, Start Small, Move Fast”.
  • Ability to effectively translate and present technology solutions in business or management terms.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work independently with little direction and/or supervision
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask and a work approach that supports flexibility and adaptability is paramount
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills; ability to lead discussions, present ideas to audiences of all sizes, and interact with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to communicate quality risks to non-technical business stakeholders
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $104,000.00 to $143,000.00 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
