The Sales Director is responsible for building the account strategy and acquiring Faurecia business (development and production).

The main missions of the role are:

  • Leads the account strategy and owns the growth of the customer account for the BG
  • Be the customer voice inside Forvia by knowing the customer organization and identifying the key deciders or influencers to address FCE product line offerings.
  • Collects and synthesizes all the customer requests and wishes (explicit and implicit)
  • Interfaces the customer in all related departments (research and predevelopment, development, product planning) to get on one hand a clear vision of the customer targets (which technology does the customer want, what are they ready to pay for, what can he/she gets for their value, and on the other hand information how the competitors are acting (product and price wise) on the related acquisitions.
  • Defines with Product Lines and Engineering the necessary steps (presentations, prototypes, visits, etc.…) to influence the customer specification towards Faurecia offer or Unique Selling Points proposed by Faurecia,
  • Manages the commercial strategy for all acquisitions (prices, give-backs, other requests)
  • Leads the acquisition process for the customer.
  • Organizes with the customer all the necessary presentations, attends, and documents minutes and actions plans after each meeting.
  • Validates with Finance the prices proposed, their break down and the impact of price changes, give-backs on the profitability of the business.
  • Organizes necessary meetings with the customer to present the offer (technical, economical aspects).
  • Ensures that every offer submitted to the customer or offer modification is complete and is presented to during BGAC for approval prior to offer submission to the customer.
  • Gets the customer feedback on the Faurecia offer, distributes it internally.
  • Negotiates the elements of the offer with the purchasing department within the limits defined in the contract review and the RFQA, records all the agreements with the customer and updates the contractual documentation.
  • Customer knowledge and relationship building.
  • Requests for quotation, offer preparation, and contractual preparation.
  • Offer presentation, submission, and negotiation, customer decision.
  • Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to Faurecia’s Code of Ethics and Code of Management.

Qualifications:

Minimum education level: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).

Experience:

  • 12 years automotive industry with experience in business development and program management function
  • Ideally being well connected to the electrical engineering and purchasing organization
