What you will do:

How you will do it: 

  • Create 3D solid models and generate 2D drawings, including bills of material to design special customer orders of HVAC equipment.
  • Create 3D solid models and generate 2D drawings, including bills of material for new product development.
  • Design sheet metal parts and assemblies.
  • Create and understand basic electrical diagrams.
  • Maintain existing product documentation including product improvement and corrections to drawings.
  • Interact with production personnel to clarify drawings and provide direction to ensure product is built to print.
  • Work with each department including Purchasing, Sales and Production Planning.
  • Ensure assigned projects are completed to schedule.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

What we look for:

  • Associate/Technical Degree or equivalent combined education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in product design in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D modeling and AutoCAD.
  • Skill in use of email and Microsoft Office software.
  • Prefer experience with MAPICS or equivalent MRP system.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective and professional communication and organization skills.
