Job Group/Grade: JG1, H07 

Position Summary:

Primary responsibility will be performing Cannula final audit inspection activities necessary for achieving company business objectives (Quality, Safety, Customer service and cost). This includes but not limited to Quality Notifications for rejected lots, additional testing required for EWO testing and validations. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read and write and converse in English. Willing and able to uphold BD Values. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all local BD Quality policies, procedures and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles. 
  • Monitor Quality notifications 
  • Support all three business units 
  • Learn and understand all product families and the quality requirements 
  • Identify shifts in quality levels – any deterioration from current 
  • Able to create and interpret trend charts 
  • Ability to read product/component drawings and interpret inspection instructions. Understand the need to assure customer is receiving product that meets the specification requirements 
  • Able to perform all computerized systems in process – Bolis and Instron 
  • Basic Statistical Analysis skills 
  • Perform self audits of hold area 
  • Knowledge of ANSI sampling plans and product disposition 
  • Locate and file inspection records, specifications and appropriate drawings 
  • Record adequate data on inspection forms, review and approve documentation as required 
  • Maintain expertise with inspection equipment 
  • Additional testing requirements for EWO’s and validations 
  • Ability to identify the Cannula requirements of the different Cannula product families 
  • Other duties as required to support the needs of the business 

Education: 

  • High School diploma/GED preferred 
  • In lieu of High School diploma/GED, three years manufacturing experience is required 

Experience:

  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred 
  • Previous experience with MES and SAP preferred 
  • Previous experience with precision measuring instruments preferred
