Job Summary: Performs diverse duties to ensure CaroMont and CaroMont Imaging services meet or exceed regulatory, safety and compliance standards requirements related to patient/personnel/visitor safety, environmental safety, radiation safety, and corporate compliance. Serves as knowledgeable resource in regulatory and policy requirements in all Imaging locations and modalities, including and not limited to The Joint Commission, CMS, NC Department of Health and Safety, NC Radiation Safety Section, OSHA, HIPAA, ACR and CaroMont policies and procedures. Manages, updates, develops, and implements policies and procedures as needed. Monitors, tracks compliance and facilitates performance improvement as appropriate. Coordinates, develops, and provides education for personnel in safety, compliance, and performance improvement. Performs routine audits to ensure compliance to all safety and regulatory requirements. Collates data and prepares for presentation as assigned. Conducts site surveys regularly, reports findings and offers support in meeting facility expectations. Surveys and monitors equipment records on ongoing basis, ensuring regular service is performed. Tracks and analyzes radiation dose badges and lead shielding apparel. Monitors regular physicist inspections of equipment using ionizing radiation and follows through on actions needed for corrections. Facilitates accurate and timely registration of all new and modified equipment with the NC State radiation regulatory agencies. Supports role of radiation safety officer and serves as co-leader of the Radiation Safety committee with the Radiation Safety Officer. Serves on other committees as required. Collaborates with technical staff and physicians to improve equipment and practice safety and quality diagnostic imaging. Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Power Point software. Working knowledge of the Hospital Information System, Radiology Information System and PACS System. Manages the Imaging front desk at CRMC and the transport team. Completes duties under direction of Imaging Services director. 

Qualifications: Radiologic technologist in good standing with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Minimum three years experience in diagnostic imaging. BA or BS degree in imaging or related science field from a recognized college or university required (can complete this requirement within 24 months of hire). Minimum two years experience in imaging in acute care hospital facility, and previous experience in quality and safety and/or radiation safety strongly preferred. Thorough knowledge of basic imaging principles in diagnostic radiography and radiographic equipment. Ability to teach in both the didactic and clinical settings. Proven ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with a variety of individuals including physicians, management staff, clinical staff, patients, families, agency representatives, vendors, and others. Strong skills in use of Microsoft applications. Self directed. Ability to manage multiple diverse projects and responsibilities simultaneously through effective priority setting and organization. Quality Control certification or approved equivalent through the ARRT within 3 years. Current BLS certification required.
