In our Center of Excellence Employee Relations at Sandoz Austria, we offer you a challenging position in which you will get to know all facets of managing the liaison with external employee representative groups like Unions & Chambers and collaborate closely with business heads. You will be embedded in the Country HR organization and will play a key role in implementing Group-wide decisions into Austria.

Your key responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading a Center of Excellence for Employee Relations in Austria
  • Employee Relations: Development of the negotiation’s strategy and responsibility for the negotiations with the works council
  • Close cooperation with global project leads and the Sandoz Euroforum
  • Legal Assessment, counselling and approval of local works council agreements
  • Responsibility of harmonizing and optimizing Sandoz rules and standards
  • Promote positive Employee Relations by effectively participating as local ER Champion in ER Champion Network
  • Bring innovative ideas and solutions to resolve conflict in the workplace (with unions, works councils, managers and employees)
  • Guide the business on Change Management approaches and activities during major organizational change initiatives.

Role Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

Essential Requirements:

  • University degree in a relevant field (e.g. economics, law, business or management with a focus on human resources)
  • At least 8-10 years of professional experience in HR with a focus on employee relations/industrial relations
  • proven ability in labor law
  • fluent in German and English
  • Demonstrated experience with HR structures and processes
  • Leadership experience in a matrix organization and strong project management skills.
  • Strong influencing ability through consulting, communication and relationship building skills
  • Team player
  • Results-driven, hands-on, attention to detail

Desirable requirements:

  • experience in HR with a focus on labour law

In accordance with Austrian law, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary as stated in the collective bargaining agreement. For this position the minimum salary is € 73.112,90/year (on a full-time basis). The actual salary will be significantly higher, as we strive to maintain a competitive position in the market and consider your previous experience, qualifications and individual competencies. We support flexible and remote working where possible.
