Vast is looking for a(n) University Recruiting Coordinator, reporting to the Senior Manager, Recruiting to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations. Use this space to describe the role and sell the candidate on the cool stuff they would get to work on. 

This will be a full-time, non-exempt position located in our Long Beach location. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Own end-to-end scheduling of candidate interviews (onsite or virtual) for both technical and non-technical roles
  • Coordinate candidate travel and handle associated expenses as necessary
  • Act as a partner for recruiting operations problems and find solutions through a mix of data, tools, and collaboration
  • Streamline processes to improve both external candidates’ and internal stakeholders’ experience
  • Manage clear, concise, and professional communication with candidates and hiring partners in written and verbal form
  • Partner closely with our brand & marketing team on recruiting events, swag ordering, etc.
  • Assist People Operations and Talent Development team in program coordination of intern cohorts

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 4+ years of experience in lieu of a degree
  • 1+ years of experience in recruiting coordination, HR Coordination, or other human resources function
  • 1+ years of experience in coordinating travel for candidates

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in a fast-paced start-up or corporate environment
  • 1+ years of experience with Greenhouse
  • Experience with university recruitment or coordination
  • Self-directed with a high sense of urgency while maintaining a meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong customer service mindset
  • Excellent communicator and problem solver
  • Ability to be flexible, adaptable, and maintain unwavering poise under pressure
  • Highly organized with a knack for building relationships

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to travel up to 40% during peak recruiting season and work flexible hours when needed
  • Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends to support critical mission milestones
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs unassisted

Pay Range: 

  • University Recruiting Coordinator Level I: $25.00-$32.00/hr
  • University Recruiting Coordinator Level II: $30.00-$40.00/hr

Base salary will vary depending on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, business needs, and market demand. Salary is just one component of our comprehensive compensation package. U.S. EXPORT CONTROL COMPLIANCE STATUS

The person hired will have access to information and items subject to U.S. export controls, and therefore, must either be a “U.S. person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62 or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing.
