Strategic Pricing Manager

As a Strategic Pricing Manager supporting the Surgical team in Benelux, you will be trusted to position as a growth lever within the Alcon business allowing us to better maximize pricing opportunities and price leakage. You will be working from our location in Mechelen.

In this role, a typical day will include: 

• Management of the pricing function within the local country set up.
• Execute a comprehensive approach to setting, implementing, realizing, and measuring the effectiveness of pricing strategies, aligned with company values and objectives.
• Build and Execution of strategic pricing initiatives.
• Shape successful pricing strategy and execution; arriving at clear and well-defined pricing approach before passing over to the customer operations team for price execution & contract management.
• Responsibility for pricing performance and metrics within local country set up.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON: 

• Undergraduate master’s degree in economics or
• Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 1-year proven experience in pricing roles in healthcare (Pharma/Medical Devices) industry
• Fluency in English, Dutch and French
• Strategic thinking with an analytical approach to problem solving. Able to translate all relevant pricing considerations to the language of our pricing model.
• Process driven.
• High degree of accuracy and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Management skills: ability to manage cross functional teams in a matrix environment and build collaborative relationships.
• Analytic Skills: Proficient in the use of key analytical tools. Quantitative and Excel skills to manage the complexity of the pricing model, profitability concepts, CPQ Salesforce1 and SAP.
