About the job

The Surveillance Officer plays an important and accountable role in providing support to the FOCS Head of Governance and FOCS management as well as collaborate and maintain a good relationship with relevant 1LOD/2LOD stakeholders. In addition, the Surveillance Officer contributes to the strengthening of the governance, organization and operational set-up of the FOCS team.

Your Main Activities Are

  • Assist FOCS Head of Governance in:
  • drafting, collating and regularly updating FOCS policies and procedural documents
  • working with senior FOCS officers to understand the models and processes they operate and to work with them to deliver procedural documents to a satisfactory standard
  • supporting Global FOCS to deliver Regulatory commitments
  • working with them to deliver solutions and documentation to close IG Findings and Recommendations.
  • Give support FOCS management:
  • preparation of Management Information (MI) collection, analysis and presentation for monthly GBL packs drafting, collating and regularly updating FOCS policies and procedural documents
  • preparation of documentation for GBL CORe, ICC and C&E Board meetings as required.
  • Collaborate and maintain a good relationship with relevant 1LOD/2LOD stakeholders:
  • Within 1LOD, collaborate and maintain a good relationship with BM/COO functions and Senior Management, in order to help them manage their business more effectively
  • Within 2LOD (Compliance, Risk ORC), liaise with them to obtain additional information and draft documentation and provide MI as required and further investigate potential conduct breaches
  • Support the 1LOD/2LOD TOM projects and the extensions of the FOCS team by contributing to different streams
  • Collaborate and maintain a good relationship with the FOCS team, desk heads and senior management and attend and contribute to FOCS team meetings
  • Contribute to the strengthening of the governance, organization and operational set-up of the FOCS team, notably by running some internal controls as required

Profile and Skills to Success

  • Academic background in Economics, Finance, Accounting or Business Management (preferential);
