Applied Materials AGS (Applied Global Services) Business Unit is responsible for driving our business of equipment installation and warranty extended management, as well as business of maintenance support, refurbishment, upgrades, etc. Our AGS team collaborates with a lot of critical customers to predict & solve manufacturing challenges, and make equipment & factories more productive. This makes our AGS team become trusted business partners for our customers which results in revenues increase year over year globally.

Now we are looking for a Business Operation Director leading our filed team for TSMC Ramp Up globally. This job will provide a great career growth opportunity by involving business strategy development and execution. Managing operations in multiple field service groups which keep growing and responsible for all issues within the business account in Applied Materials Taiwan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to TSMC ramp methodology transfer for new business across regions/countries, including ramp, operation, and business management, such as overall global infrastructure/BKM communication.
  • Oversee strategic business initiatives, from development through successful executions. Initiate and streamline implementation of solutions to customer's high value problems.
  • Anticipates new requirement and potential issue for customer ramp across regions/countries. Review, design, and execute improvements to organizational structure, find resource or infrastructure gaps and help address them for efficiency and productivity.
  • Is the focal for customer ramping on all operational and service commitments. Highly interface and engage with internal Local Site Leaders across countries on business and operational issues involving the Business Unit's service commitments.
  • Assist and work with senior business management team to ensure that such programs, strategies, and processes address high value problems for the Business Unit and are aligned with the organization’s direction globally.

Role Requirement

  • Extensive operations management experience for new business in new region in Multinational Corporation.
  • A proven ability to get things done across multiple functions/regions/systems and in an ambiguous setting
  • Excellent English communication capability, with experience rapidly building and analyzing business plans
  • Customer engagement experience (especial in ramping model) in semiconductors is nice to have experience
  • Be flexible on overseas travel: 30~40% travel rate
