The Regional Risk Policy team is a small but collaborative team responsible for managing payments related risk and fraud risk. Get to know the Role

We are looking for a passionate candidate who is able to understand risks and implement controls and policies to address these risks. We believe a successful candidate is insightful and pragmatic; if you believe you have what it takes then we’d love to hear from you. 

The Day-to-Day Activities

  • Be the risk policy subject matter expert around the domains of payments (cards / e-wallets) or merchant fraud risk domains. 
  • Conceive, launch, and deliver regional strategic policy projects and frameworks to reduce risks and fraud, and optimize user experience in the payments space across Southeast Asia using data insights. 
  • Identify and analyze emerging risks and trends, and provide recommendations for policy and procedure changes as necessary to mitigate related risks.
  • Engage with cross-functional stakeholders in engineering, data science, data analytics, product, and business teams to implement risk mitigation and improvement solutions, as well as to optimize risk controls and processes.
  • Perform risk assessments for new products/features and implement relevant mitigation controls.
  • Own and drive continuous improvements in key risk metrics; report facts to senior and executive management in a clear, concise, and data-driven manner.

Qualifications

The Must-Haves

  • Minimum work experience of 5 years, preferably in fintech, payments, strategy consulting or analytics. 
  • Good understanding of the fraud space, preferably with hands-on knowledge of fraud, payments, e-commerce, risk policy development, or risk enforcement work.
  • Problem-solving, positive and constructive attitude is a must.
  • Comfortable in dealing with ambiguity and operating in fast-changing, unstructured environments. Strong track record of exercising sound judgement in the absence of direction.
  • Structured, factual, and data-driven. Ability to deep dive into data then elaborate clear and synthetic insights.
  • Stakeholder management experience, especially with senior executives.
  • Proficiency in data analytics and visualization (using Excel, SQL, PowerBI) would be highly advantageous.
