Specific Responsibilities

The individual would be responsible for growing the Non Banking Financial Company (NBFC) vertical within the Financial Services Practice of EY in India. This is a sector leadership role which would combine key responsibilities of client relationship management, engagement delivery and Business Development.

The position would lie within the Financial Services Performance Improvement (FS PI) Practice. The role would require integrating key capabilities of the Firm across areas including (but not limited to) Technology, Digital, Analytics, Risk and Regulatory; to engage with key client accounts. The role would report to the FS PI Leader who is also the NBFC Sector Leader for the Firm.

The individual would work with practice leadership to build a road map to deepen EY’s positioning within the NBFC sector across a broad range of Consulting areas. He / she would be expected to lead execution of the above road map by engaging in the following critical activities:

• Develop a set of target NBFC clients with a view to building a sustainable pipeline of critical mass
• Leading opportunity identification and proposal development to ensure conversion of opportunities into solid engagements
• Defining the target road map and financial plan for the NBFC Consulting Practice
• Leading engagement teams to deliver projects at NBFC sector clients with a view to ensuring value realization for both clients and the Firm
• Focus on developing a keen understanding of industry issues with a view to building solutions with high potential demand
• Ensure deep relationships with NBFC sector clients based on value delivered and measured by key metrics such as repeat business, breadth of Firm’s services offered to the client and extent of C-suite relationships at the client
• Raising the visibility of the Practice and the Firm within the NBFC sector in India by ensuring regular involvement in Thought Leadership development, participation / facilitation of industry events etc.
• Leveraging the Firm’s global network to expose clients to relevant leading practices across the globe

Skills and attributes for success

• Demonstrated ability and experience with engaging CXO level executives at Financial Services

clients

• Demonstrated managerial skills with the ability to deliver market focused and engagement

delivery related results with large-scale, cross-functional teams.

• Demonstrated leadership experience in mentoring, grooming and motivating teams with a view

to attaining practice goals

To qualify for the role you must have

• Bachelor’s degree and MBA from a premier B school with at least 10 years of experience
• Experience with consulting for Banks and / or NBFC’s
• Sound understanding of the financial services (banking) and NFC market and regulatory environment in India
• Additional experience in digital transformation projects and Retail Products and Processes knowledge would be valuable.
