Your Opportunity

You, as a Patient Access Enabler leads the end to end Access strategy of his/her therapeutic area of responsibility, focusing on improving and accelerating access to innovation for Hungarian citizens, through innovative value propositions supported by sustainable financing solutions. As a Patient Access Enabler you are the local Ambassador/Representative of Roche working closely with system-level healthcare stakeholders such as relevant therapeutic area experts (TAE), regulators, and payers.

The Patient Access Enabler is a key player and leader of the integrated access strategy of Roche Hungary, identifies shared purpose and value, co-creates solutions, creates flexible pricing solutions together with Therapeutic Area teams/squads and implements them across ecosystems, indirectly impacting outcomes for thousands of patients. By doing so the role will be directly accountable to challenge and shape the healthcare system in service of better health outcomes for more patients faster in a sustainable way to society. 

As a qualified expert, you: 

  • Managing end to end Patient Access processes and initiatives at brand/therapeutic area level and being responsible for the management/coordination of an end-to-end process till the reimbursement of a given product/indication is achieved and for co-creating access solutions with internal stakeholders and external TA Experts
  • Shaping, developing and implementing the Access strategy for Roche Hungary
  • Being a core member of therapeutic area squads based on demand of business/strategy and being an active member of the Patient Access Center dedicated to specific disease areas, cooperating in the development of a prioritized integrated access strategy while monitoring/managing the early stage portfolio of his/her therapeutic area
  • Pulling in expertise and resources locally and from the network as needed, including in collaboration with other Patient Access Enablers, Healthcare System Partners and Patient Journey Partners 
  • Developing and orchestrating the execution of Patient Access Strategies, including value proposition, supporting evidence and financing solutions and contributing to our mission and vision by assuring fastest possible patient access to our innovations
  • Representing Roche and the company’s access mission and vision in industry level national associations and communities, identifying, mapping, engaging and managing ecosystem stakeholders and actively cooperating and co-creating with the Payer to reach access targets, acting as the primary point of contact for national payer’s relevant stakeholders
  • Managing the financing and pricing strategy, internal pricing agreements together with the Pricing Experts and maintaining and fostering a relevant - internal and external - network of pricing and reimbursement decision makers within the healthcare system
  • Aligning and harmonizing Access strategies with commercial and medical strategies and pricing guidance from the Headquarters and keeping up to date with relevant policies and regulations regarding access, pricing and reimbursement
  • Looking across the individual ecosystem and catalyzing our ability to see broader trends and patterns in healthcare systems - bringing outside insights into Roche to influence strategy and bringing our expertise, science and knowledge out to the ecosystem and actively participating and collaborating in the international Access Community and continuously searching for innovative pricing solutions.

Who you are

  • We are seeking an individual with academic background in Life Sciences or extensive relevant experience (Medical/Bioscience/ Health Economics) and education or equivalent knowledge/hands-on experience in the Patient Access field
  • Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken) is essential. Additional languages a plus, based on region/customer requirements.
  • Good understanding of the healthcare (financing/reimbursement) system and healthcare policy and the relevant compliance principles and regulations and understanding of Roche’s present portfolio and future pipeline, such that they can work on future-based solutions
  • Experience leading cross functional teams is desirable (both formulating cross-functional strategies and orchestrating cross-functional teams)
  • Demonstrated stakeholder engagement skills including partnering with TAE's and organizations
  • Demonstrating personal purpose and strong passion to create value and impact on the ecosystem and demonstrated ability & openness to work with agile working principles and methodologies
