Overview
Main Purpose of Job:
The purpose of this job is to be the Bangladesh Capex & MRO Procurement go to person, managing within the MSO / COE organization a total spend of $ 25MM, through
- Assisting Sector COEs in defining and executing category strategies, contract management and supplier relationship management,
- Complete Ownership of the E2E Capex and MRO category sourcing and timely availability
- Develop local vendors as substitutes for imported Capex Equipment and MRO items
- Measuring & Improving Performance, achieving Annual Plans & Delivering targeted Productivity
- Deliver 7% YoY P&L productivity from GP managed spend
- Support Supply Chain in building favorable manufacturing capacity footprint
Responsibilities
Accountabilities.
- Support (in close collaboration with the INDIA Region MSO) implementation of the Pepsico Procurement vision, mission and strategy.
- Manage Capex & MRO category at a country level in Bangladesh leveraging PepsiCo OpCo’s Supply and Capacity plans
- Work closely with Bangladesh Senior Manager Raw & Packaging Materials, Bangladesh Ops team and Sector Capex COE to:
- Plan and monitor Capex & MRO Category with respect to annual and long-term strategic sourcing targets for the spend driving local capacity plans/strategies in partnership with the Ops team
- Plan and monitor sourcing Productivity / Savings for the above category(for the current year and over PSP) at 8-10% YoY
- Lead improvement initiatives from procurement side for categories in scope
- Evaluate & evolve sourcing strategies based on changing market conditions and provide inputs during strategic sourcing activities, including internal and external analysis and negotiations.
- Ensure implementation of sourcing strategies / plans, compliance monitored, and benefits tracked (in close collaboration with the Transactional Procurement Team in line with the procurement policies, DoA and Procurement practices.
- Closely liaise with INDIA main business stakeholders.
- Ensure implementation of best-in-class sourcing methods and tools.
- Govern the development of contracts and agreements; support negotiations of important contracts as well as developments with key suppliers
- Lead tracking, monitoring and reporting of supplier markets for categories during the duration of contracts (including benchmarking against industry / market standards)
- Own Local Make Supplier Relationship Management.
Qualifications
Key Skills/Experience Required.
- Excellent Functional knowledge (5-6 years+ in Capex and MRO Procurement roles in Bangladesh): depth in category management, processes and tools in a complex environment, in Global FMCG (preferably Food Industry) OR Project Consultants to FMCG Industry.
- Sound knowledge of strategic sourcing processes and Capex and MRO category related procurement best practices, with experience of implementing them in a global environment
- Sound knowledge of supply market fundamentals with emphasis on developing local vendors for OEM and imported spares and equipment
- High level of expertise in importation process in Bangladesh is a MUST
- Proven skills in development of local vendors of Capital equipment and Spares
- Engineering qualification is preferred and CPIM OR Post Graduate qualification in Operations Management qualification desirable
- Proven influencing skills to positively impact complex negotiations
- Excellent balance of analytical & negotiation skills
- Proven Project Management skills required
- Contract writing / risk analysis / liabilities and indemnities / SLA’s / and general commercial terms
- Sound understanding of SAP and P2P Governance

- Develop Import/OEM substitution through local vendor development
- Develop Procurement process for Capex and align stakeholder to drive compliance & best practice
- Conduct, communicate and respond to changing market conditions to improve sourcing position and minimize risk
- Coordinate with Engineering, Plant and Treasury Teamsto identify process improvement areas & implement right action
