The EE architecture components developed in our department lay the foundation for the latest automobiles and make an important contribution to the realization of future innovations, such as a wide range of interior comfort functions as well as automated driving and parking functions.

You will face these challenges as part of the in-house development of the MB.OS zone controller:

You define the releases:

  • Determining the scope of releases
  • Consideration of change and defect management
  • Release target and level
  • Including metrics/KPIs (key performance indicators)
  • Development of a backup strategy in case the release is not achieved

You do the release planning:

  • Release schedule
  • PI planning/big room planning
  • Communication of the release targets
  • Presentation of the schedule

You bring the release to a successful conclusion:

  • Carrying out the "Approval"
  • Collecting the contributing release packages (documents)
  • Creation of the release documentation (incl. release result)
  • Evaluation of the release metrics/ KPIs
  • Documentation of compatibility
  • HW (hardware)
  • SW architecture (software)
  • Release rollout

Further challenges:

  • Active co-design of processes to achieve quality, deadline and cost targets
  • Monitoring the market and competition, technical progress and relevant legal regulations
  • As a competent contact person for series development, you will work closely with internal and external partners, suppliers and various Mercedes-Benz departments in Germany and abroad

Qualifikationen

Ideally you qualify for this job with:

  • Completed studies in electrical engineering, computer science, mechatronics, physics or a comparable field of study
  • Sound experience in project management
  • Experience as a component manager or component manager for E/E components hardware or software
  • Sound technical understanding of hardware (electronics), software and mechanics
  • Experience in series development and supplier management of automotive projects
  • Experience in testing and validating complex systems and functions
  • Experience in managing a project team
  • Advanced knowledge of DNG & Jira
  • Experience in functional safety processes, methods and tools
  • Very good knowledge in the application and implementation of automotive development processes and common industry norms/standards (e.g. ISO 26262, Automotive Spice, AUTOSAR standards)
  • Experience and skill in dealing with customers and international suppliers
  • Business fluent in German and English
  • Class B driving license
  • Willingness to travel and participate in test drives
  • High affinity for products in the field of EE architecture components and enthusiasm to work in an innovative and motivating environment
