VP, Global Marketing Insights & Analytics

As the VP of Global Marketing Insights & Analytics, your mission is to oversee and develop the Marketing Insights & Analytics team and its strategy, aiming to optimize sales and streaming revenues for frontline, catalog, and international releases. You will be responsible for providing data insights, analysis, recommendations, and decision-making support to the business, serving as a central source for quantitative and qualitative research and analysis for Executive Management and the marketing and sales teams. Additionally, you will focus on formulating recommendations to shape the future of digital revenue and marketing strategies, identifying trends, and conducting consumer behavior analyses on digital platforms. Your role will also involve implementing tools to facilitate detailed and effective data analytics, alongside demonstrating creativity, initiative, and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders across various disciplines within the business.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Develop and lead the Global Marketing Insights & Analytics team.
  • Develop, manage and drive the Global Marketing Insights & Analytics strategy for BMG’s businesses to maximize sales and streaming revenues for all frontline, catalog and international releases.
  • Forge strong relationships with key stakeholders in the business and serve as a valued consultant in decision-making processes.
  • Self-initiate artist, release, label, platform, market and/or industry analyses and projects, providing actionable insights and recommendations to the business.
  • Collate, analyze, interpret and present data insights on marketing initiatives, repertoire performance and opportunities, consumer behavior, artists analytics and digital partner performance.
  • Develop and analyze strategies to maximize streaming revenue.
  • Support the global marketing and streaming teams in identifying trends, relevant technology advancements and commercial performance, while gathering global insights to further enhance understanding and implement data-driven marketing strategies.
  • Ensure the Marketing Insights & Analytics team provides professional and timely delivery of data-related tasks and assignments.
  • Keep up-to-date with shifts and developments in the digital media and streaming landscape across our partners and territories.
  • Support the business with direction on the evolution of our revenue formats and service offerings. Help drive improvements and changes in the market through innovation, research and involvement in new projects.
  • Analyze social and digital marketing data, build metrics to measure KPIs and work closely with relevant departments to further amplify consumer engagement.
  • Serve as a key contact for Executive Management on projects and ad-hoc research, presenting findings and recommendations on a regular basis.

Must-Haves:

  • Proven expertise in data analytics within the music industry, specifically in digital platform and marketing knowledge.
  • Leadership experience that equips you to inspire and motivate team members to achieve their full potential, provide clear direction, set challenging yet achievable goals, and foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
  • Foundational understanding of marketing analytics, data analysis techniques, statistical methods, and research methodologies.
  • Proficiency in utilizing tools and software commonly employed for data analysis and visualization, as well as an understanding of data warehouses.
  • Experience in drawing insights, formulating recommendations from data, and financial modeling.
  • Skills in disseminating complex analysis into concise, understandable, and actionable presentations.
  • Experience in forming and cultivating business relationships with key stakeholders.
  • An instinct to take initiative in an unstructured environment, following self-driven lines of inquiry while formulating and testing hypotheses.

Pay Range:

$130,000 - $150,000 annual compensation

The pay range listed above is dependent upon factors such as work experience, qualifications and business needs. In addition to the range above, this role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and applicable benefits.
