What’s the role?

As a Recruiter, you play a crucial role in finding and attracting experienced hires for the company. Your responsibilities span across the recruitment value chain and ensure that the talent is identified and welcomed to Shell.

In this capacity, you will be accountable for delivering against the hiring needs of the business/function, specifically on JG1 & below positions. Under the guidance of the Resourcing Lead, you will work collaboratively within a dynamic team of resourcing experts, adapting flexibly to meet evolving hiring demands. This role supports the resourcing for the Middle East current scope including Oman and Egypt. From 1 Sep: Scope to include resourcing in Oman, Qatar, and UAE.

Job Duties:

1. Translating Strategy into Action:

  • Partner with Hiring Managers to understand their resourcing needs and convert business needs into actionable recruitment plans and delivery.
  • Deliver hires with competitive speed, a focus on quality, with compliance and in a cost-effective manner.
  • Ensure Diversity, Equity & Inclusion remains at the core of the recruitment process and results in diverse outcomes.

2. End-to-End Resourcing:

  • Responsible for managing the end-to-end Experienced Hire (XP) resourcing process, ensuring seamless coordination among all stakeholders for quality hires and strong Hiring Manager satisfaction.
  • Conduct job brief meetings and assessments, extend offers and regrets.

3. Customer Centric:

  • Represent Shell and the EVP both internally and externally.
  • Deliver a superior candidate experience converting candidates to hires.
  • Develop strong relationships with partners (business LTs, HR, Talent Advisors)

4. Collaboration and Project Delivery:

  • Work across skills and lines of business to achieve collective resourcing goals.
  • Contribute actively to the global community of Recruiters.
  • Participate and/or lead in local/regional/global resourcing improvement projects.

5. Operational Excellence:

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Actively safeguard compliance.
  • Actively maintain data quality and ensure accurate tracking in resourcing systems and tools for positions and candidates.
  • Maintain globally standardized resourcing processes driving efficiency and standardisation.

What we need from You

  • Experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, or sourcing with strong understanding of talent acquisition strategies, sourcing techniques, and recruitment tools.
  • Experience with HR policies, and local employment law
  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to convert candidates.
  • Excellent team player who excels in fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment, effectively communicates with colleagues, and actively contributes to the natural team's success.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and engage in challenging discussions (e.g. candidates, Hiring Managers, business partners)
  • Ability to use data to monitor performance and drive actionable insights.
  • Ability to leverage market intelligence to inform and shape strategies and decisions.
  • Skilled in multitasking to effectively oversee multiple open positions concurrently while consistently delivering competitive Time to Fill benchmarks.
  • Proficient in diagnosing and resolving stalls in candidate progression or position fulfillment.
  • Proven capability to adapt and skilfully navigate through ongoing changes in the talent market, business needs, Recruiter portfolios and priorities.
  • Proven track record of compliance and focus on maintaining housekeeping practices.
  • Must be Omani national
  • Fluent in both English and Arabic
