Job Overview

As the Assistant Vice President of Corporate Aviation and Operations Programs, you will oversee the interpretation of federal regulations and build and enhance partnerships with all airport stakeholders, including airlines, regional airports, Transportation Security Administration and Customs and Border Patrol to continuously improve holistic airport management. You will also formulate policies, standards, and procedures for area of responsibility and coordinate the provision of other services as directed. Under the general direction of the Vice President of Operations, you will manage the development, monitoring, and reporting of departmental operating statistics and provide subject matter expertise in financial-related matters and improvement of functional operations. Lastly, you will provide leadership support to help guide the operations at the Corporate Aviation facility, and operational program business units (such as SMS,Training, analytics).

What you will be doing:

  • Direct all activities of Corporate Aviation and responsible for compliance with Federal, State and Local rules and regulations related to these activities and is responsible for Payment Card Industry requirements.
  • Serve as an energetic champion of innovation, employee engagement, high performing teams within a culture of trust and respect for maximum operational effectiveness.
  • Direct activities of assigned program business units, such as business analytics, training, and Safety Management Systems.
  • Develop, administer, and coordinate annual operating budget resources and capital funding requests for assigned business units.
  • Interact and network with other airport and FBO managers, airlines, and federal agencies as necessary to further the goals of DFW Airport.

What you need:

  • Bachelor's degree in aviation management, business or public administration or a related field.
  • Seven (7) years of experience at a large commercial airport in airport operations, Fixed Based Operations, Airfield Safety Management Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible management experience.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.
  • Possession of a valid Class C driver's license.

What we desire:

  • Master's degree in business, public administration, engineering, finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in the management and administration of airport/ FBO operations, Safety Management Systems, or programs in an airport management or similar business environment.
