This position is responsible for ensuring that the Alternative Certification program meets all recruitment and selection goals. The coordinator manages and leads in the vision, mission and promotion of the Alternative Certification program, ensuring that Dallas ISD is in the minds of potential interns. The 

Coordinator will build and implement efficient processes for recruitment, selection, retention, communication and exposure.

  • Communicate proactively and frequently with internal and external stakeholders. Provide leadership to all staff in establishing a positive, structured, and achievement-oriented school culture. Participate regularly in projects and initiatives that integrate office staff into schools.
  • Support “all-hands-on-deck” times of for busy hiring seasons and training seasons for Dallas ISD AC Program. Report out during all department meetings regarding data points, trends, etc.. Receive continuous feedback from peers and internal and external stakeholders on your practice.
  • Manage time, tasks, deadlines and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment and hold others accountable for the same. Travel as needed to locations for recruitment and presentation events.
  • Provide monthly metrics to the Quality Operation Assurance Team Supervisor and Director of Dallas AC Program. Partner directly with Dallas ISD Substitute Staffing to present at all substitute orientations and pull monthly data reports to market to degreed substitutes.
  • Request Public Information Request from surrounding school districts.
  • ASEP aligned standards recruitment coordinator is responsible for: acceptance rate, applied, admitted, candidate’s’ overall GPA, average GPA in subject area, incoming GPA, completed program and the accreditation status for Dallas ISD AC Program. All federally funded incumbents of this position must comply with time and effort reporting requirements through personnel activity reports or periodic certification, as appropriate.
  • Ensure clarity of message about the Dallas ISD AC Program by collaborating and communicating with other Talent Coordinators to solidify the Dallas AC Program brand. Create compelling messages to express the brand through all written materials, web, and social media.
  • Marketing and Outreach: Create and execute targeted marketing campaigns to build a high quality talent pool to build exposure through national email marketing. Participate in all district sponsored job fairs to support information dissemination.
  • Cultivation and Recruitment: Build a pool of interested high potential teacher interns, build relationships with key connectors at talent partner organizations, identify and attend recruitment events, manage and execute logistics, marketing and programming for all Dallas ISD AC Program-sponsored recruitment events.
  • Admissions: Direct accountability with the metric aligned to the Texas Education Agency AESP reporting for applied applicants to the Dallas AC Program annually.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a directly related field.
  • 3-5 direct experience preferred.
