Job Summary

We are seeking an innovative and experienced Head of Support and Services with expertise in aeronautical applications to lead our electric propulsion service business. This role is pivotal in establishing and growing a high-performing team dedicated to providing exceptional support and services for electric propulsion systems in the aerospace industry. The ideal candidate would possess a strong leadership background in service and support for the aeronautical industry, with good understanding of aeronautical engineering, electronics, electric motor systems. We are looking for an experienced leader capable of developing and nurturing a talented team to meet the unique expectations of aeronautical applications.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Team Development:

  • Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to build and develop the support and services team within the electric engine business, focusing on aeronautical applications with a strong emphasis on electronics.
  • Recruit, onboard, and mentor a diverse team of technicians, engineers, customer support representatives, and service managers with expertise in aeronautical engineering, electronics, and electric engine systems.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that promotes innovation, accountability, and continuous learning, while adhering to stringent safety and regulatory standards in the aerospace industry.

2. Service Operations Management:

  • Oversee all aspects of service operations specific to aeronautical applications, including service request management, workflow optimization, and resource allocation for aircraft electrification projects.
  • Develop and implement service policies, procedures, and standards tailored to the unique requirements and safety considerations of the aerospace industry, particularly in electronic systems and components.
  • Drive efficiency improvements and cost-effective solutions to maximize customer satisfaction, reliability, and operational readiness of electric engine systems in aircraft, ensuring seamless integration of electronic components.

3. Customer Support and Satisfaction:

  • Lead the development and implementation of customer support strategies tailored to aeronautical equipment applications to enhance satisfaction, loyalty, and retention among aerospace customers.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for escalated customer inquiries and resolution of complex service issues, ensuring timely response and adherence to regulatory requirements in electronics and aerospace systems.
  • Champion a customer-centric approach by proactively addressing customer feedback and driving continuous service improvement initiatives to meet the rigorous standards of the aviation industry, particularly in electronic systems integration.

4. Technical Expertise and Innovation:

  • Maintain a deep understanding of aeronautical engineering principles, electronic systems design, electric engine technology, and regulatory requirements governing aircraft electrification projects.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and product development teams to incorporate customer feedback and drive innovation in electric engine systems for aerospace applications, focusing on electronics integration and optimization.
  • Identify opportunities for technology advancement and service differentiation to address the unique challenges and performance requirements of electric engine systems in aircraft, leveraging expertise in electronics and systems integration.

5. Performance Management and Metrics:

  • Establish clear performance metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and service level agreements (SLAs) specific to aeronautical applications, with a strong focus on electronics, to measure team performance and service effectiveness.
  • Analyze performance data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to optimize service delivery, reliability, and safety compliance in accordance with industry standards, particularly in electronic systems integration and performance.

6. Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:

  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including aviation regulatory agencies, aircraft manufacturers, and aerospace industry partners, to support cross-functional collaboration and alignment in electronics integration.
  • Cultivate strategic partnerships with aviation maintenance organizations, electronics suppliers, and service providers to expand service capabilities and coverage for electric propulsion systems in aircraft, ensuring seamless integration and performance optimization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred. MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the aerospace industry, with a focus on support and services operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and motivate high-performing teams in a fast-paced and safety-critical environment.
  • Strong technical acumen and knowledge of aeronautical engineering principles, electronic systems design, electric motor systems, and aircraft systems integration, with a focus on electronics optimization and performance.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction in electronic systems integration and aerospace applications.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative and cross-functional work environment while adhering to regulatory compliance and quality standards in electronics integration and aerospace systems.
