The Seller Engagement Portfolio Product Owner will be part of the Digital Experience organization with the Single-Family Acquisition division. Single Family is Freddie Mac’s largest line of business. Our Impact:

This role will provide Freddie Mac customers the ability to request to do business with us, implement terms of business, build and manage their employee access to our tools, provide direct feedback to us, and perform annual certifications,. These capabilities will also allow Freddie Mac to manage our counterparty risks, to track customer feedback and provide insights to our product teams, and to handle the deal and contract management process. These capabilities are expressed through several tools, such as Salesforce, UCount, Freddie Mac Access Manager, and the Deal and Contract management platform. These are critical to providing customers self service capabilities while also allowing Freddie Mac superb client management.

Your Impact:

  • Lead a team of chief product owners tasked with driving a vision for their products and guiding their teams to execute against the prioritized product backlog.
  • Manage a Client Management Product Portfolio with an annual budget that ranges from $15M - $25M based on management investment allocation.
  • Work with Chief Product Owners, Product Owners, and business sponsors to maintain product team constructs, adjusting capacity across the portfolio based on customer needs and business priorities to ensure continuous alignment of product scope across the program
  • Communicate value, negotiate trade-offs, and manage risks with senior management, stakeholders, and other product teams.
  • Work with business sponsors and key stakeholders to define and set the vision for a portfolio of agile product teams. As the Portfolio Product Owner, they will understand market/customer needs as well as strategic organizational goals to ensure that the portfolio of product teams are optimizing the flow of work to deliver the most value for Freddie Mac and our customers in the most efficient fashion.
  • Understanding the needs of customers and their operational processes to identify, design and define solutions that can be effectively implemented to deliver value. Use data & analytics to communicate the value of proposed ideas and approach for implementation. Interact with customers and internal customer-facing staff to acquire feedback on solutions and design to validate and refine value, or pivot to something new.
  • Coordinate Program/Product Increment planning across the portfolio, determining if sprint planning is vital across the portfolio/solution train
  • Work with other Portfolio and Offering teams to coordinate any dependencies and/or go to market activities across portfolios
  • Ensure all organizational change practices from a data, process, and risks/controls are fully understood and performed by the product teams
  • Ensure program/product teams have necessary access and insight into customer needs and feedback regarding their products
  • Ensure collaboration with CX and Product Design teams to brainstorm and prototype new concepts to prove value to the customer, and/or Freddie Mac
  • Work with Technology Leads to identify and prioritize technical enabler work for the portfolio
  • Enable the success of the product/program teams by removing barriers and obstacles the teams may face
  • Foster the collaboration of cross-organizational teams to establish, develop, implement and rollout new and enhanced capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of related experience with demonstrated experience in product management and 8+ years of management experience
  • Top notch written and verbal communication skills, able to effectively present to senior management and expertly facilitate meetings.
  • Experience delivering large, complex change management projects that involve collaborating with multiple teams, especially projects involving changes to business applications and technology.
  • Experience working in the Agile methodology
  • Experience leading design lead organizations desired.
  • Understanding of DevOps concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving thought processes.
  • Prior experience managing product teams.
  • Proficient in the creation and presentation of business cases to senior management.
  • Comfort and experience interacting in person with customers.
  • Some travel required (up to 5% of the time)
  • Certifications in Prosci or similar people change management methodology, desired.
  • Understanding of mortgage or loan initiation and servicing a plus

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $233,000 - $349,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
