How you’ll Make an Impact

  • To define, implement and maintain EHS standards in Siemens Energy Middle East
  • To develop EHS process and procedures
  • To coordinate with various functions with key target of keeping workplace injury free
  • Close alignment with internal stakeholders, such as Project Management, Service Operations, Sales and Global EHS organization
  • To travel to project sites to assess the implementation of the standards, process, and procedures.
  • Coordinates the EHS scope with Operation and Maintenance team of power plants under SE O&M contract.
  • Internal and external audits will also be part of the responsibility.
  • Conducts regular site inspections to identify risks, and defines corrective measures.
  • Ensures all incidents (injuries, Near Misses, Critical Observations) are investigated and recorded and appropriate measures are defined, implemented and monitored.
  • Run campaigns and programs to improve EHS engagement within Middle East
  • Coordinate with Procurement Team to assess and monitor supplier’s EHS performance and requirements.
  • Define and Run Health Management and Environmental Improvement programs.
  • Showcase exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide teams towards a shared vision of safety and sustainability excellence.
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication and presentation skills, enabling you to effectively convey complex EHS concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Identify innovative EHS best practices and technologies, leveraging them to enhance our operations and minimize environmental impact.

What You Will Bring

  • Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience of which last 5 years of experience should be in EHS function with focus on defining and implementing EHS process and procedures for projects or facility (service-related industry for rotating equipment in power plants within the oil & gas industry)
  • Technical background preferably Engineering Degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, environment or petroleum.
  • NEBOSH IGC Level 3 completed.
  • Auditor Training - ISO 45001, ISO 14001. 
  • Technical experience in a power plant setting or oil & gas industry will be a plus.
  • Work experience with multicultural team
