About the Role

Sustainability is an increasing focus for the Delivery business. After launching the program in 2022, we have hired teams in market, defined strategy and long-term targets and ramped up pilots and partnerships. This role, sitting in Global S&P, will report into our Global Head of Delivery Sustainability, and focus on governance & strategic projects across our long term strategy. This is a unique opportunity to get in from the start and be part of the team which will manage and grow Delivery’s sustainability efforts.

What the Candidate Will Do

  • Maintain operational reporting, OKRs, projections, and key business metrics to inform the leadership and the entire org of where the business stands
  • Develop executive-level communications and presentations for Uber's leadership
  • Drive or support key strategic projects by coordinating across different functions, from initial scoping phases all the way down to implementation
  • Own the weekly, monthly and quarterly governance and reporting of key program outcomes and insights to key collaborators and leadership
  • Run analysis and develop strategic insights in globe-spanning projects to enable Uber's leadership decision-making
  • Understand existing and new business risks as it relates to sustainability, including regulatory and competitor risk. Be able to generate strategy and plans to execute on those risks
  • Process Improvement: Identify the biggest operational gaps, inefficiencies, and risks using our internal data and deliver solutions
  • Project Manage the expansion of sustainability efforts globally, working closely with the central team to help other countries launch their own pilots and initiatives

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years proven experience in strategy, business operations, consulting and/or project/program management.
  • Experience in defining solutions to complex, strategic topics with a deeply analytical approach to issues
  • Balance attention to detail with swift execution - we need to do things quickly, and we need to do them well
  • Self-starter - ability to take initiative in a constantly-changing work environment; the ability to self-serve, investigate and get the data we require will make you much more effective in this role
  • Demonstrated ability to drive end-to-end projects from ideation to implementation
  • Excellent communication and partner management skills, with the ability to effectively present complex data and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Track record of driving strategic insights and tying strategy work to specific business goals; experience with competitive strategy a plus

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge, experience and passion for sustainability
  • Experience working with large and distributed global teams
  • Advanced Excel/data management skills. Ideally, an understanding of SQL
  • MBA or advanced degree
