Job Overview:

The AVP Investment Product & Advisory Platform Mapping role requires an energetic candidate with a financial services background who can think independently, thrive in a fast-paced team environment, creatively problem-solve, connect various thoughts, observations and results to develop innovative solutions and new insights that drive to an improved offering. This role requires the ability to operate in partnership with other teams. This role also requires the candidate to help build and deliver presentations that convey new ideas or complicated data to a variety of audiences within the firm, including senior leadership.

This position is focused on the day-to-day investment product and advisory platform mapping activities for large conversions connected with our M&A activity. It involves working closely with our Business Development and Wealth Consulting groups on recruiting opportunities and recently recruited advisors/firms on ways to leverage the platform. Given our extensive recruiting efforts, and diverse affiliation models, it is imperative the individual develop a deep understanding of how all our investment offerings and advisory platforms serves each model, and can clearly articulate how each platform can solve our clients’ business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and drive projects, initiatives, decisions and tasks forward to the successful execution of key priorities
  • Work closely with our Business Development team on recruiting opportunities and recently recruited institutions on ways to leverage the platform as their assets move to LPL
  • Gathering competitive analysis for key strategic projects
  • Partnering across the firm to advance initiatives, enhancements and remove roadblocks in Technology, Finance, Service/Trading, Operations and Legal/Risk
  • Building presentations and delivering findings to leadership and stakeholders
  • Own the day to day product management of investment products, to include management reporting and resolving issues in timely manner
  • Having the experience, presence, and poise to command the respect and trust of various level of the organization and other highly driven and independent professionals is necessary.
  • Thriving in a fast-paced team atmosphere with the confidence to adjust and adapt as priorities change

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree

Core Competencies:

  • Expert level excel skills
  • Knowledge on the investment advisory product landscape, specifically offerings in a UMAs (SMAs, Mutual Fund and ETF Strategists) and future state platforms including familiarity with competition (broker-dealers, RIAs, TAMPs, etc.), platform/ product trends and regulation.
  • Advisory Platform management or operational experience associated with evaluating dynamic decisions and contributing towards recommendations that enhance the product offering
  • Clear, effective verbal and written communication skills including the ability to actively listen, problem solve, and communicate effectively with both technical and business partners at the highest levels inside and outside of the organization complex project environment. Strong consensus builder who drives change to achieve desired outcomes
  • Ability to communicate effectively to senior leadership
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint a must
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and deliver quality outcomes within short timeframes
  • Energy, enthusiasm, strong work ethic
  • Ability to solve complex problems in ambiguous environments
  • Must demonstrate a strong business and financial acumen

Preferences:

  • 6+ years financial services experience; investment product/advisory platform experience

Pay Range:

$113,360-$170,040/year

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
