Planning Chief will play an important role for ensuring smooth communication between production and sales departments, optimizing production efficiency, and minimizing waste in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Job Description:

Revise production plans promptly and adhere to deadlines in response to urgent orders.

Collaborate with production and sales teams to adjust planning while maintaining efficiency and minimizing waste.

Manage order revisions by liaising with sales and production teams, ensuring accurate system records are maintained.

Efficiently transfer sales orders into the Navision ERP system and manage inventory levels to reduce excess stocks.

Coordinate with sales, production, and shipping departments to address incomplete product manufacturing, conduct necessary analysis, and initiate new production orders as required.

Generate new POs based on requested deadlines and optimize production lines according to workload and workforce availability while reducing downtime and inventory.

Conduct regular reviews of production data and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Organize and facilitate daily planning meetings to ensure effective coordination of production processes.

Analyze customer orders to determine the required raw material and semi-finished material needs. Develop weekly/monthly material plans to ensure timely availability of materials for production.

Open purchase orders (PO) for required materials based on production plans and material requirements. Track the status of purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules.

Coordinate with procurement teams to order materials based on production schedules and inventory levels.

Monitor material inventory levels and adjust plans as needed to prevent stockouts or excess inventory.

Evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities for improvement in material sourcing and procurement processes.

General Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience (Master’s Degree or MBA is highly preferable).

5-6 years of experience in production planning and coordination roles.

Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly Navision, and strong analytical skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Proven track record of maintaining accurate records and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient spoken and written English skills are a must.

Analytical thinker and solution-oriented, with strong persuasion skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software.

Strong communication skills, successful in interpersonal relationships, and possess good planning, leadership, and organizational skills.

Excellent communicator able to work with individuals at different levels.

Time management and sense of prioritization.
