What you will do-

As the Senior Capacity Planner, you will ensure that near-term and long-term (3-5 years) business requirements can be met through the specific plant(s) and contract manufacturers within the specific franchise scope. You will partner with the business to gather long-term product volume expectations while integrating product life cycle changes. You will interface with site production leads, contract manufacturers, procurement, supply planning, sourcing, advanced operations, and integrated business planning management to ensure an integrated approach to capacity planning within the franchise. You will communicate and solve capacity constraints to avoid supply challenges and ensure a proper inventory investment strategy. This is a hybrid role. We are seeking an individual in the Leesburg, VA, or surrounding areas to work onsite 2 days per week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Gathers long-term product volume expectations, factoring in product launches and product end-of-life cycle changes
  • Responsible for the creation of a master capacity plan based on the latest supply plan signal to identify where there are any potential bottlenecks or risks to supply and to develop and recommend appropriate proposals to mitigate and ensure that the plant or contract manufacturers can meet the future demand
  • Identify areas of underutilized inventory within Stryker manufacturing sites or 3rd parties that can be utilized for current or new product development
  • Responsible for monthly executive level reports on the current and future state of supplier capacity, highlighting up revenue risks or risks to set investments
  • Create a capacity review forum to enable leadership in investment making decisions
  • Collaborates with finance to determine financial impact for new capacity investments for internal manufacturing sites or supply volume commitments to contract manufacturers
  • Track and monitor the execution of the capacity plan and monitor the supplier’s performance as it pertains to the volume ordered vs the volumes assessed for capacity
  • Develop internal processes to foster collaboration with internal Stryker manufacturing sites and/or 3rd party suppliers in the efforts to assess and capture capacity.

What you need-

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or relevant field -required
  • 4 years of experience in production planning, capacity planning, supply planning or demand planning -required
  • APICS accredited or professional supply chain accreditation “preferred”
  • Experience in Microsoft Office applications specifically PowerPoint and excellent skills in MS Excel and PowerBI “preferred"
  • IBP and S&OP principles experience “preferred"

Travel Percentage: 10%
