Job Description

Lead Israel systems team. Administers the technical operation of Motorola Solutions servers, databases, and associated hardware. Evaluates, procures, installs, and upgrades hardware, software, and applications. Ensures the performance, accuracy, quality, integrity, and security of Motorola Solutions technical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day IT system operations in both on-prem and cloud environments.
  • Interface with customers, and key stakeholders, interpreting business requirements and providing appropriate IT solutions.
  • Regularly evaluate and optimize IT services and systems to ensure performance in alignment with the organization's business needs.
  • Oversee system security activities, collaborating with the Security team.
  • Vendor management - Contracts, budgets
  • Collaborate with global teams outside of Israel accommodating flexible timelines
  • Perform hands-on activities.

Basic Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with IT systems (hardware/software), preferably in a large-scale company.
  • At least 2 years' experience with AWS\OCI.
  • Hands-on experience with on-premises systems such as Windows and Linux (Active Directory, DNS, group policy, NTP, etc.), and Server Hardware, including implementation, installation, and setup.
  • Hands-on experience with VMWare virtualization, including implementation, installation, and configuration.
  • Proficiency with Storage Arrays such as Netapp, UCS Cisco, and HPE.
  • Security Classification (“Rama3”) or ability to meet classification criteria.
  • Proficiency in the English and Hebrew languages, both written and spoken.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Definite Plus:

  • Experience with Google cloud - Major Advantage.
  • Hands-on experience with backup tools like Veritas, Commvault, Veeam: implementation, installation, and configuration - Advantage.
  • High-level architecture capabilities - Advantage.
  • Scripting experience in Powershell and Python - Advantage.
  • Familiarity with Security Systems and operations - Advantage.
  • Agile methodology and tools - Jira, Confluence
  • Experience with ITSM - Tickets, Problems, Changes, CMDB, etc.
