The School of Nursing has an outstanding opportunity for an Administrator for Student and Academic Affairs to the Associate Dean for Student and Academic Affairs. The Administrator for Student and Academic Affairs plays a critical role in providing high-level administrative support and managing academic program operations within the Office of Student and Academic Affairs (OSAA). The Administrator for Student and Academic Affairs will support overall programmatic operations, including development and management of policies, project management of accreditation and curricular compliance efforts, student and faculty support and communications, and internal and external stakeholder engagement. The Administrator for Student and Academic Affairs will also manage a HRSA-funded project that entails student scholarship support, training and evaluation as well as preceptor educational modules and support. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, problem solving, attention to detail, project management, and ability to manage competing demands. The Administrator for Student and Academic Affairs will report directly to the Associate Dean for Student and Academic Affairs (ADAA) and perform independent work under general direction with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Grant-funded project management (50%):

Responsible for the implementation, management, and tracking of grant activities and trainees.

Supervise grant disbursements to students and externally paid consultants/vendors.

Manage data collection and reporting data to HRSA Serve as point-of-contact for HRSA grant faculty, trainees and clinical partners Serve as liaison between project partners and stakeholders.

Serve as a point of contact for the Husky Preceptor Program operations (40%):

Develop, implement and manage procedures for program administration under delegated authority of the ADAA.

Independently develop and analyze policies related to the Office of Student and Academic Affairs, including engagement with stakeholders across School and University units.

Independently manage special projects, exercising independent judgement and discretion in developing and managing project budgets and timelines, ensuring compliance with University rules and regulations.

Represent the ADAA’s interests and priorities and act as their representative as needed, providing information and reporting conclusions to key stakeholders.

Support required programmatic accreditation processes. This involves synthesis and tracking of numerous School, University, State and National standards. 

Manage program reporting and tracking processes, including course evaluations, board certifications, and NCLEX pass rates.

Collaborate with other units to promote programmatic marketing, recruitment, and student experience.

Plan, develop, and support quality improvement projects; develop initiatives to address concerns.

Oversee maintenance and updates of programmatic websites.

Set review schedule for school of nursing memoranda (policies) and project manage updates.

Supervise and manage the Program Operations Specialist for the Office of Student and Academic Affairs Administrative support (10%)

Receive, investigate, and resolve inquiries and complaints from students, faculty, and other stakeholders concerning the Office of Student and Academic Affairs.

Support internal and external stakeholder engagement, including coordinating meetings and communications.

Coordinate the Clinical and Community Advisory Board Coordinate unit hiring processes.

Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in business, education, social sciences, communications, or healthcare management or similar.

3-4 years of experience in program management or administration, preferably in healthcare or nursing education OR relevant combination of education/experience.

Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except where there are legal requirements such as license/certification/registration.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of UW Time Schedule and curricular revision policies Licensure as Registered Nurse.

Experience in nursing education Previous experience working with students in an administrative setting and/or familiarity with academic advising.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

This position is 8-5pm with rare evening work to support programmatic events. This position is fully remote. Position will require occasional travel to UW Seattle campus
