The UX Research team helps drive strategy, design, and development through human-centered insights and efficient and scalable systems that enable practitioners to focus on their craft. 

Together we will transform care, improve patient health, and evolve the next generation of healthcare solutions.

Let’s talk about the role:

As an Associate User Researcher, you’ll work with more senior researchers and product teams supporting qualitative and quantitative research through preparing materials, analyzing data, notetaking, and more. You will support moderated and unmoderated iterative studies to evaluate concepts, designs, and products and surveys.

This position will provide you with the opportunity to grow your research skills and work with a diverse and knowledgeable team of researchers in the connected solutions and medical space.

This is a Sydney based position with requirement to work from our Bella Vista offices on a regular basis, part time employment will be considered.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Supporting in research planning activities:
  • Support in maintaining research calendar and study and experimentation plans 
  • Meeting with product teams to understand objectives, review study goals, hypotheses, and assumptions 
  • Preparing research artifacts e.g. screener, interview guide, script, tasks, etc 
  • Working with vendors to screen, recruit and schedule participants 
  • Supporting in running research:
  • Support researchers and designers in regular testing of concepts, prototypes, digital and physical products and services
  • Participate in observation, notetaking and analysis for studies as needed 
  • Support with synthesizing and reporting insights:
  • Support in running synthesis workshops and creating artifacts eg: user journey maps, affinity diagram, personas, service design blueprints, etc. 
  • Provide empathetic insights of the problem space as experienced by the user 
  • Prepare documentation for medical device clearance as needed 
  • Support in research operations:
  • Support research operations initiatives around participant management, governance, processes, tools, insights management and more

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • Studying or completed Bachelor’s in Product Design, Human Computer-Interaction, Cognitive Science, Psychology, or related field 
  • 1-2 years experience running UX research studies with various research techniques spanning both attitudinal and behavioural as well as quantitative and qualitative methods 
  • Familiarity with using online testing tools
  • Experience working in an agile, collaborative environment alongside design, engineering, and product management 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a timely manner 
  • Experience working in the healthcare field on patient engagement, behaviour change, and/or FDA requirements for medical device clearance is advantageous
  • International research experience advantageous
