In this role you will be the FICO project leader for a small portfolio of software implementation or upgrade projects. In this position you are the primary contact representing FICO to client executive leaders, project sponsor, and project stakeholders. You are accountable for a team of 3-10 associates made up of a mix of matrixed functional consultants, technical consultants, solution architect, developers, and testers. Your goal is to successfully install, configure, or upgrade FICO products and solutions on client premises or in our FICO cloud environment. FICO uses both waterfall and iterative implementation approaches in our Delivery Management Life Cycle (DMLC) framework so a candidate must come into the role with confidence to lead teams using many different tools in their project management tool kit.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily project leadership and managing of projects through FICO’s DMLC.  Stages include:
    • Project Initiation
    • Solution Definition
    • Solution Design
    • Solution Execution
    • Solution Testing
    • Solution Roll Out
    • Project Closure
  • Complete supporting project management tasks including:
    • Communications Management
    • Cost and Budget Management
    • Quality Management
    • Risk and Issue Management
    • Schedule Management
    • Scope Management
    • Staffing Management
  • Manage project deliverables in line with executed contracts and project plans
  • Monitor project progress and performance
  • Provide weekly status reports to the project stakeholders
  • Liaise with, and update progress to, FICO’s project review board and senior management
  • Coordinate a project portfolio and their interdependencies;
  • Aligning and manage project deliverables with client expectations
  • Manage DMLC project documentation

Requirements:

  • Required
    • ‎8+ years of technical project management where you have had to balance between business stakeholder management duties and technical knowledge of your project’s core IT product
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM)
    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or information technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Multi-module technical solution implementation experience
    • Remote/Home office depending on candidate location
    • Excellent communication skills and confidence in managing client meetings via WebEx and conference calls
    • If you're the right person for this opportunity, you will have previous experience leading technology solution projects using a host of project management tools and skills
  • Preferred
    • Both Project Management Professional (PMP) and ‎Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
    • External client consulting experience
    • Loan, mortgage, or credit origination system implementation experience
    • Bank and financial services systems experience
