The Master Data Senior Manager is responsible for instituting and maintaining strong governance and controls over master data used by ERP, Business Intelligence and other interfaced systems. The incumbent will be the ensure consistency and quality of master data for internal and external use. They are responsible for control processes over the creation, update, and publication of master data. They will take a business-oriented approach to quality and consistency of data used in core and extended systems and ensure that data is reliably available to users and supports evolving needs of the business.

Essential Job Duties

  • Manage overall governance of item, vendor, customer master data
  • Establish data governance protocols with clear ownership and controls for data creation and updates
  • Collaborate with various business units to identify data requirements, resolve data conflicts, and drive data standardization initiatives
  • Implement Data Governance committee of cross-functional business providers and consumers of data to maintain consistent definitions of data attributes
  • Ensure data quality and consistency within company systems
  • Ensure quality of data published to external parties to drive revenue and reduce costs of order management, transportation management, shipment errors and customer penalties.
  • Implement workflow process and tool for creation and updates of vendors
  • Maintain data structure integrity across the enterprise
  • Maintain compliance of item data with GS1 standards
  • Meet audit and internal audit compliance standards
  • Establish and publish data quality metrics tied to business outcomes
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ERP and related systems capabilities
  • Supervises data management team responsible for item master and item data syndication to customers

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, information systems or other technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 7-10 years of related business and/or technology experience required
  • Strong functional knowledge of ERP and integrated systems
  • Ability to develop solutions to complex problems using expertise, creativity, and sound judgement.
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering results that meet planned objectives
  • Ability to develop cross-functional leadership relationships, build rapport and trust, and influence decision-makers
  • Ability to present and communicate with influence and confidence to a technical and non-technical audience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, but also as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Possesses business acumen with excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Time management skills, strong ability to multi-task, follow up and manage competing priorities independently

Peet’s Home Office is a Hybrid worksite, which requires any Home Office employees to work onsite (Emeryville, CA) 3 days per week with the exception of any fully-remote role.

At Peet’s we hire the best people and are committed to supporting our employees and rewarding them for their work. The target annual base salary range for this position is $140,000-160,000. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.
