Job Description

Sompo International Holdings Ltd. (Sompo International) is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Product Analyst for our Florham Park, NJ office. 

This position will report into the SVP - Product Development and will provide support to the Commercial Property and Casualty underwriting teams. Key responsibilities of this role include drafting policy forms for new and existing products and other operational and administrative duties as required. This role may be hired up to the AVP level depending on experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Draft commercial property and casualty policy forms and endorsements
  • Assist product counsel in researching legal issues as needed
  • Maintain libraries of all approved products
  • Provide operational support for department tools and processes
  • Provide product-related regulatory compliance support
  • Identify opportunities for, and contribute to, continual improvement of team processes
  • Other duties as determined by management

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3 years of experience in relevant experience required, 5 years of experience preferred
  • Outstanding writing skills - candidates may be asked to provide a writing sample
  • Excellent analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Insurance policy drafting experience preferred but other writing experience will be considered
  • Ability to make decisions with limited information and see issues through to resolution
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
  • Strong commitment to providing superior client service

Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including the cost of living associated with your work location, your qualifications, skills, competencies, and relevant experience.
