We're looking for a Principal Software Engineer - IT (ServiceNow).

The Principal Software Engineer - IT (ServiceNow) is part of the IT Shared Services team and is the ServiceNow subject matter expert for the business team. This individual collaborates with Technical Leads and Developers to enhance configurations, customizations and provide continued support for our ServiceNow platform.

In this role you will…

  • Collaborate with cross functional stakeholder to understand , document requirements and manage the backlog.
  • Point of contact as ServiceNow’s technical SME for business stakeholders.
  • Prioritize the backlog working with the Service Owner.
  • Design and document technical specifications, configurations and customizations for out of the box solutions and systems integrations.
  • Participate in ongoing projects, collaborate with Technical leads and Developers.
  • Recommend and implement solutions on the ServiceNow platform based on changing business needs.
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations to junior developers on platform-wide development solutions.
  • Develop and deploy production-ready applications and service catalog.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and streamline the overall platform and its performance.
  • Platform support for off the shelf functionality and custom apps, portal, mobile apps, virtual agent, reports and Performance analytics dashboards.
  • Mentor junior members of the team to bring them up to speed.

You Have What It Takes If You Have…

  • BA/BS degree in technical field of study or equivalent practical experience
  • Minimum 7 years of software development experience (Javascript).
  • Demonstrated experience in architecting and configuring solutions in ServiceNow ITOM, ITSM, HRSD, WSD, CSM and Agile modules
  • Experience with ServiceNow integrations using LDAP, SSO, Mid server, web-services, email and other relevant technologies
  • Configured ServiceNow CMDB and Discovery probes and sensors
  • Design Automation workflows using ServiceNow Orchestration, Integration Hub and spokes
  • Experience with application design concepts and tools including the use of UML, ERD and Flow Diagrams
  • Experience with ServiceNow Platform applications and capabilities like Virtual Agent, Portal, Flow Designer, predictive intelligence, mobile apps etc.
  • Experience with Agile Scrum development methods
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
  • Consideration for privacy and security obligations

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator, ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist, ITIL Foundations, or higher Certifications preferred
