Your role

Are you passionate about bringing systems to life? Do you have a curious nature, always interested in how to innovate?

We’re looking for someone like that to help us:

• assess the offerings, capabilities, and competitors as well as current and potential new areas in order to develop a service & product strategy to serve GOTO (Group Operations and Technology Office) customers (closely aligned with Business Strategy/GOTO Strategy/Divisional Strategy)
• be part of the Digital Investment Products team, focusing on building out a new Alternative Investment platform. This scalable platform provides improved reporting, better service and workflow, a client service model and reporting to ensure operational sustainability and align with our competitors’ offerings
• act as Chapter Lead providing technical leadership and direction to team of engineers, working closely with business product owners and stakeholders
• plan, manage and execute product and portfolio lifecycle for best business and operational results
• manage risks that could seriously impact IT services, products and client portfolios
• initiate and lead crew wise initiatives aimed at improving services, products and processes based on the results of service and product reviews and process evaluations. The resulting initiatives (programs/projects) are either internal initiatives pursued by the service provider on his own behalf, or initiatives which require the customer’s cooperation

Your team

In our agile operating model, crews are aligned to larger products and services fulfilling client needs and encompass multiple autonomous pods. You’ll be working in Weehawken, New Jersey, focusing on the Digital Investment Products business area. This area covers alternative investments, mutual funds, insurance & annuities, and IRA & DAF products. Our team is located across the globe and manages a significant percentage of AUM for UBS.

Your expertise

• significant experience in delivering enterprise applications in the financial industry
• significant experience in managing business demand for technology as a liaison with all levels of business, operations and technology stakeholders and leadership team
• demonstrated experience working with technology leadership and business partners to understand business visions with strategies and feeding them into technology strategies, roadmaps and communication to the crew members
• ideally 15+ years of experience working directly in or closely with a technology delivery organization; ideally 12+ years of that experience should be in the financial services industry focusing on wealth management domain
• deep technical knowledge in Software Product Engineering using Java, React/Angular, NoSQLDB, Kafka, Microsoft Azure, DevOps, Azure Kubernetes Services, Springboot, tec
• integration experience with vendor platforms for Wealth management highly desired
• expertise with the full software development life cycle including both traditional waterfall, agile, and cloud native methodologies
• experience presenting, collaborating and building trusted relationships with leadership (both business and technology) and technical peers to influence direction
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution
