Procurement Manager for Depot and EMR

We are now looking for a Procurement Manager for Asia Pacific Ocean Procurement team. The target candidates should have a good understanding of Maersk’s strategy and business drivers. Scope mainly covers sourcing and optimization of Depot and Equipment repairing/maintenance, Supplier Relationship and Performance Management, as well as Contract Execution for contract life time etc.. The candidate we are looking for should have advanced communication and interpersonal skills, thorough understanding of project management, strong customer centricity mindset and efficient stakeholder management capability. The role reports into Head of Asia Pacific Depot and EMR Procurement.

Area of responsibilities:

  • Handle the procurement activities for the Depot and EMR (Equipment Maintenance & Repair) for Thailand and Myanmar
  • Managing the procurement process in the categories and areas, improving business performance through development of relevant procurement disciplines.
  • Provide relevant internal and external parties with sounds advice enabling decisions to be made on solid operational grounds.
  • Ensure company procedures and guidelines are effectively communicated and implemented by your team members.
  • Develop and roll out and optimize effective business and engagement model to support customer centricity, ESG initiatives and various other business priorities in connection with company strategy and procurement strategy.

Essential job tasks:

  • Develop, maintain and execute portfolio strategy that supports value maximization in both short term and long run.
  • Develop and launch sourcing projects, to purchase competitive products at right price, in use of proper sourcing processes.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible deal.
  • Handle, handover and execute contracts in accordance with relevant procurement, commercial and legal disciplines.
  • Enhance cost ownership and drive cost leadership.
  • Support operations to solve disruption and gain efficiency from execution of the contracts.
  • Be responsible for compliance to avoid business risks and legal exposure etc.
  • Join in team efforts for process excellence to improve team capability and efficiency.
  • Support direct manager on team focus driving.
  • Support peer procurement managers to improve collaboration and synergies across portfolios.
  • Own and improve portfolio performance.
  • Own and manage supplier relationships to maximize delivery of the value in the whole project and contract lifetime.
  • Create and/ or join in cross-functional collaboration to support functional priorities more than Marine, particularly for L&S growth etc. to maximize group value from own portfolio.
