The opportunity

Southern New Hampshire University is looking for faculty to teach in our Computer Science program. Our online faculty provide high-quality, "real" scenario-based learning experiences and support learners as they work toward their educational goals. Online faculty members work in a collaborative learning environment, partnering with learners, student advising and members of the academic team to ensure that each learner has the support you need to gain real-world skills applicable to their present and future careers.

You'll Get To:

  • Provide a high level of student outreach and connect with students, academic advisors and team leads on a frequent basis to ensure student success
  • Engage, offering an increased and innovative presence in the classroom
  • Provide substantial student feedback and offer a quick turnaround on grades

Seeking experienced instructors for the following courses:

  • IT-145 Foundation in Application Development
  • IT-337 User-Centered System Design and Evaluation

What we're Looking For:

  • Master's Degree in Information Technology or related field from an accredited higher education institution
  • 2 or more years industry experience in IT
  • 1 or more years teaching experience at the college level
  • Prefer experience specifically with Java (not Javascript) and Eclipse IDE
  • Experience in user-centered design, use-centered design, usability engineering, and usability testing

Work Hours:

This posting is hiring for future term starts, dates to be assigned later.

Compensation:

The standard compensation for most courses is $2,200 per 8-week undergraduate course, and $2,500 per 10-week graduate course. Undergraduate and graduate adjuncts are paid bi-weekly and are considered W-2 employees of Southern NH University.
