Associate Director, Brand Social Strategy

The Associate Director, Brand Social, will be responsible for developing and leading social strategy that authentically reinforces our Client’s brand values while connecting with what’s happening in culture. As a strategic partner who will play a pivotal role in shaping the brand’s narrative and perception across various social media platforms, this person will need a keen understanding of cultural drivers and consumer behavior and be able to drive the creation of memorable content while maintaining a clear path to achieving brand’s business goals.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Develop social content strategies, based on the understanding of the client's brand message, voice, objectives and target audiences
  • Coordinate content creation, planning, scheduling, and community management to seamlessly integrate overall communications efforts with social media tactics
  • Identify whitespace opportunities to elevate strategy & define distinct roles for content on each social platform to build brand equity
  • Analyze and report on social data and optimize strategy based against business objectives
  • Demonstrate thought leadership in building social media programs that develop, engage, and retain audiences
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external cross-functioning teams for ongoing social support
  • Keep a finger on the pulse of social trends and happenings, new platforms, and competitive landscape

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in leading social media strategy and execution
  • In-depth knowledge of the social media environment, formats, trends and up-to-date on relevant cultural events
  • Proven ability to develop digital ecosystems and find opportunities in emerging and new platforms
  • Proven ability to develop consumer journeys and have the skills to clearly articulate your findings and opportunities in excellent storytelling
  • Strong understanding of how to measure success and which metrics are the valuable ones according to objectives, digital channels, and formats
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and cross-functional teams effectively
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence various stakeholders
  • Knowledge of paid social media campaigns - working with media agencies, understanding media measurements and paid creative best practices a plus

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $130,000 annually. Salary is determined by a combination of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
